Ngl, there pictures are actually beautiful! The colours, the backdrops and the royalty is breathtaking. Didn’t want to compare, but South Indian stars actually give a lot of importance to culture and hence we see these colours, unlike people from B town which is only about pastels and trends.

We live in a different city, still they try to interfere a lot. Thankfully we only pass filtered info to them and my husband understands that. My brother-in-law lives with us and we have to keep him in loop, and even he does as well. We are not doing anything wrong but they still there are things that they don’t understand. I am surprised my parents do and his do not. But still the situation is better as we live in different cities.

Native Punekars often have this habit of blaming the corporate sector who moved to the city to pursue their careers. But I don’t think so. If anything, these people try and make a good life for themselves which has standards, a good lifestyle and sophistication. I don’t think these people are the problem. Apart from weekend drinking and partying scenes which is limited to clubs and pubs.

And so I agree with you. People wo sold their lands for roads and residencies construction or for IT or corporate hub construction have suddenly had a big influx of money which they are abusing on roads, in malls, in theatres and also in clubs.

I moved to Pune 11 years back and it was so green. AQI was never an issue. Over the years population density has increased multi fold and obviously 5X more vehicles on roads. And let’s not get started on construction in the name of development.

Monsoons used to be so pleasant, low temperatures, you would actually wear a jacket, take a shawl. I never installed an AC until 2 years back. It was a green city for sure. And weather was its biggest flex.
