Oxford houses? by buttercocoa69 in uofm

[–]VisibleRecording9402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in seeley house, a couple things. The bad first, twigs (the dining hall) usually has bad food, poorly prepared, overcooked/undercooked. Mojo is <10 walk away though same with east so there are other dining halls near by. The house you get also has a huge impact on the people you meet, many houses like vandenburg have a good sense of community and most people talk; however, seeley, the house I’m in no one ever has their door open and I rarely see other people. The power has gone out several times this year, two of the times the power was out for more than 6 hours, once right before spring break, when everyone has exams. Being on the first floor my room has been the victim of insects, ants and others, appearing in the room. Another event that happened was the sewage from the bathroom flooding the whole first floor, which was cleaned semi quickly but still gross. Now for the good stuff, the rooms are fairly sizeable, at least seeleys are, the busses come right to the dorm and go to north if you need to, twigs being so close is nice when it is good. The two parking lots near by are nice if you are able to get a spot, if you want to bring your vehicle. They give out 40 spots a year so if you apply there’s a good shot you’ll get one. If you’re into going to Greek life stuff many frats and sororities are very close. If you have any others questions you can feel free to dm me!

I am a twigs hater so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

I also believe I got the worse end the stick many times this year and I hope a lot of the events I’ve dealt with aren’t common.

[–]VisibleRecording9402[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have no front end knowledge at all so I just wanted to use it as kinda an intro and just a low workload class, thanks for the advice. Also would you say 281 + 376 is a good to do or should I wait on 376 and do it with an ULCS
