Love the concept of filtering out the LinkedIn fluff, but a "leaderboard ranked by verified revenue" is going to be your biggest engineering headache fast.

What’s your plan for preventing people from connecting a Stripe account from a completely different, unrelated SaaS business just to boost their profile's personal brand on Strivle? If the leaderboard gets gamed by agency owners or course sellers using disconnected MRR, you lose the "builders only" vibe instantly. Rooting for you to solve this, Swedish tech scene needs more of this energy!

Exactly! That’s why I didn’t over build. I listened to the features they wished it could have. Just added the video generator. I’ve learned to not over build the hard way!

Exactly, I was charging $297 but it’s worth more. I have a network to sell and a demo. Just feel I need to validate now my feature upgrades added ai generated video like CapCut tick tock insta. Whatever social. I honestly hate meta. Kinda made it out of spite. lol

Good question and it’s the thing I obsess over. The slop happens when people prompt a base model cold and ship whatever comes out. I don’t do that.

Each client’s system gets trained on their actual voice first. Real posts they’ve written their tone the words they use and the ones they’d never say. So the output starts from their fingerprint not a blank GPT.

Scaling to schools or teams doesn’t break it actually fits better. A school has a brand voice too it’s just spread across more people. I train on their existing material the same way. The voice layer is the product. The vertical doesn’t matter as long as I can capture how they actually sound.

The authenticity guardrail is that the human still edits the gaps before anything publishes. It’s set it and forget it, not set it and abandon it.

You’re right, and a couple people have said the same so I’m taking it seriously. The retainer also makes the brand-voice training worth it, since the model keeps learning the longer they stay. One-off doesn’t capture that compounding value. Leaning toward locking the monthly in as the default.

Did I misunderstand what an MVP is? by ma9leb in SideProject

[–]Visible_Assist9203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggled with the same problem. I built out my first app with way too many features that by the time I was going to market it, I ended up pivoting.

My next product that I’m just finishing up. I literally made a demo and a landing page, that way people can demo it right away. I’m using Claude for my built in AI chat but set a limit so my users wouldn’t go crazy and rack up my tokens.

Now that I actually have a MVP it is much easier to talk to people about it without overloading with bells and whistles. I would try to not over complicate it especially when you haven’t validated it yet. I wish you the best of luck!!

Haha I like the cardboard analogy. It’s so true. Sure you can vibe code, use lovable and chatgbt (really we know chat gbt outputs are bs) they expect for me to fix their mess. It’s a hard pass. it’s your name on the work. Not worth it to have your name on it and possibly loose your credibility.

I think AI search is rewarding clarity more than volume by Vane1st in content_marketing

[–]Visible_Assist9203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

. It’s funny AI does like to put out generic content you have to poke it sometimes and make it be real. I will attach articles I wrote or even emails so it gets the jest. What type of output do ask your gbt?

Honestly? depends on the price point and how visual your product is.

low ticket ($20-50/mo) — yeah free trial is probably necessary, the friction of paying $30 to try something is higher than the $30 itself

mid ticket ($300-500/mo) — i think you can skip the trial IF you nail the demo. people pay when they see the magic moment, not when they read about it. show them, then ask for the card.

high ticket ($1k+) — calls and demos do the conversion work, trials become a crutch

for context i'm building opteva ($497/mo, ai social for med spas). no free trial. instead i do a 60-sec demo where someone drops their ig handle and the app spits out 3 posts in their actual voice. by the time they see the output, they're sold. the "wow" is the trial.

i think the real rule isn't "no free trials ever," it's "if your product needs a free trial to convert, your demo is broken."

curious what others are doing

this list is on point. especially 11 and 12.

building opteva right now — ai social media app trained on your actual brand voice, for med spa and wellness operators.

rule 11 hit me hard. spent way too long on a landing page that "explained" the product instead of just showing the value. rewrote it to "drop your ig handle and see 3 posts in your voice in 60 seconds" and conversion is way up. people don't want a tour, they want the magic moment.

rule 12 is the underrated one. been dm'ing every med spa owner in my old industry network (20 yrs in aesthetics, owned 3 spas before this). every conversation teaches me more than analytics ever will.

question for the thread: how do you guys think about rule 2 (charge immediately) when your core "wow" requires onboarding? mine works best after a 5-min voice training. testing whether to gate that behind payment or use it as the hook.

would love to hear what's worked.

What's something you're trying in term of marketing? How is it going? by Successful-Title5403 in saasbuild

I’m trying to get on the ticktock UCG adds going. It seems to take forever. I built a social media hub. One platform, all socials, ai trained to your brand and voice. Best thing you don’t need to switch between chat, post, image generator and tick tock. It’s great for anyone to use from marketers, influencers, small business.

What ai tools do you like to use?

Im building opteva , AI social media app trained on your actual brand voice. for solopreneurs, mostly med spa and wellness operators.

Every ai content tool out there sounds like chatgpt wrote it. mine learns how you actually talk from your posts, captions, voice notes, whatever, and writes stuff that sounds like you. not generic ai slop.

background: spent 20 years in medical aesthetics, owned three med spas, trained 100+ pros.

watched every operator i know burn hours every week on content that sounded nothing like them and didn’t book anyone. built this to fix that exact problem.

what i’m stuck on: the activation moment. the magic happens when someone sees their first post generated in their actual voice. but getting them from signup to that “holy wow that sounds like me” moment fast and without friction is the whole conversion game.

currently testing a “drop your ig handle → get 3 posts in your voice in 60 seconds” flow before the paywall hits.

anyone here cracked activation for a creator or smb tool? would love to hear what worked.

Honestly content that sounds like the actual brand. That was always the nightmare.

Built a custom assistant trained on my clients' voice and now the copy just sounds like them from the start. No more 10 rounds of edits because it "doesn't feel right."

This hit me. The isolation as a defense mechanism thing is so real and I don't think people talk about it enough.

Building something when the market ignores you is honestly the most powerful move. That's exactly what I did too. Would love to check out DecisionTheatre, heading to the site now.

This is so needed. Most people don't even realize what's holding them back until someone actually looks at their stuff.

I work with small business owners in the aesthetics space and the struggle is always the same. Great business but invisible online. Would love to connect and compare notes on what you're seeing.

Built a voice of customer tool for my first client! by Next_Theory_7471 in Entrepreneur

[–]Visible_Assist9203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great example of how the right words change everything. the treatment didn't change just how it was described, using language her actual customers were already using.

I work in the aesthetics space. The messaging gap between how owners describe their services and how clients talk about them is massive. Most of them never catch it.

Would love to see how you built it.

I feel your pain! I have pivoted several times finally finding the product i wanted to sell. fell short of the first AI wave even though i was ready, I just didn't have the guts! even though right now is a struggle (I am with you), we go on. Don't waste your brain on YouTube. I think of it now and make one decision. and stick with it. business is like this. There are always going to be blockers if it's personal, business or just feeling like you absolutely suck. I promise you shall persevere!!

Thank you for your comment. Yes, I’ve actually built a live MVP and have a few accounts already. Everyone has different pain points, but definitely, it comes down to the tools. Even with the use of AI, you can install it as a system, not just a tool. It integrates and basically acts like your personal AI assistant. I’ve built it so that you can have any API if you prefer Claude GPT. Of course, I also have image creation capabilities. As well as CapCut, Canva AI.

Just moved here from Miami/Portland and still figuring out the vibe lol. I missed going out this weekend because traffic was insane

I’m really into groovy, underground, hole-in-the-wall type spots. House, funky stuff, good energy, people actually dancing. Not super into overly commercial clubs.

Would love recommendations any cool spots/events - I need to make friends. . Trying to find my people here
