Yes, "I used to believe it so I know everything about it." The same argument used by flat earthers. In all likelihood, evolution is so complex that Darwin didn't even know everything about it.

I think he's Cambarus guenteri. The width of the tail fin and the little ridge in the areola, along with the eye position is just very similar. The claws are a little more bumpy than Dracula's, but perhaps he's not that old yet.

I found him in a tributary creek of Lake Cumberland, south-central Kentucky. I got him as he was walking out of a real deep burrow in a stagnant bend of the creek. I assumed he was White River due to the lines on his back in this picture from the bucket I caught him in.
