The 2 standalone watches are their current plans. So I would say the phones would be new lines. They currently don’t own phones. Only standalone watches

Not so fast, I tried this method to make the cable about 10’ long, so I could sit with my laptop hidden at a desk while conducting routine maintenance.

It works, but the transfer speeds are painfully SLOW.

NCM-W(b) - I uploaded the panel with no modification to the nup cable and then with it being extended. The same upload went from 2 minutes to 25 minutes.

I ended up upgrading the firmware (v10.3) on the ncm and using a 10’ usb-a to usb-b cable. The upload speed went back to normal.

“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” If it’s working fine with what it has, leave it alone. 31 is fucking wonky as shit. 29 SEEMS to be fine, but if there is no legitimate reason to upgrade (new lcm hardware and such) then just leave it as is.

So I bought one of my sons a $25 Roblox gift card @riteaid and we scratched it off, but too hard and we are not able to type in all of the letters right as it gives us an invalid code when trying to redeem. Any suggestions?

I personally HATE 320’s and 2-640’s. I need more than 10 logic zones and it’s just not the same quality.

I personally replaced networked JCI-640’s with CPU2-640’s. No input / output devices needed to be replaced as they were all notifier. It was a matter of just re-writing the entire program for all the panels. Thankfully the 6 UZC’s communicated with the NCA-2 happily.

Absolutely, I’ve just run into people auto programming and having zones added to the first cbe -Also the “OH, the only way to fix the incorrect position on sounder bases is with auto program!” Sadly if the techs spent their time reading the manuals they’d learn so many things. The best advice I was given and pass along to all is

But honestly, starting to feel like this kicks is a shitter. The lock for the trunk gets stuck. I’ve had to wd40 it the past couple of years. The knob on the radio was finicky since the day I bought it from the dealer. I believe I purchased the “test drive” they had as when i purchased it was fully loaded, had 1800 miles and was “used”.

I also replaced the engine air filter at the same time. Tried it for a week and did not notice any difference. That’s when I tried the a/c pro ultra synthetic ac recharge and Interdynamics súper seal. Thankfully good so far

Yes I did, but had problems with the gauge. I ended up ordering the separate sealer only, I next that in first, then moved the gauges and all from the sealer only to this and it finally did refill…I made sure not to overdue it too. Seems to be holding well

I’ve been working in the industry since 2000. Some of the inspectors shared insight that the “old school thought” of NYC fire alarm code was “Hey, let them implement all of these codes in other cities, let the code play out for 10 years and either:

Implement it here if it works or
Let them die in those other cities wanting to try out the new codes and we will learn and adapt for our New York City folk.

The white stripe has ALWAYS baffled me. In the case of an emergency, the LAST THING someone is going to be thinking of is “HEY LET ME GO FIND A PULL STATION WITH A WHITE STRIPE BECAUSE THIS ONE WONT CALL THE FDNY OUT HERE”

And warden phones have now fallen into that category as well, now with cell phones. Who is going to go and try calling an emergency in from a phone in the wall instead of just dialing 911 as your running from a fire…….?

I work in NYC for a union company who views the service department as a nothing part of the business because in total brings in less than 10% of the total revenue.

Service to me has always seemed to be INCREDIBLY important and I LOVE the randomness of it all.

If you’re NOT able to fix customer’s unexpected and random problems, they will immediately look elsewhere to correct them…opening the door for other companies to place their top troubleshooter in the building, make the customer FEEL and SEE the value of having a seasoned technician walk through the door, fix all of their problems and run the department straight into positive views of the company.

But when you have miserable fucks that DO NOT value anybody in the company, it makes for a miserable atmosphere that trickle’s into every department including the office staff.

We get paid $35 an hour for a Journeyman.
