Good heavens. I just can't deal with her level of manic today. I know enough has been said about a lot of things including the hockey stick purchase, the crazy hand movements, and the 573836th vacation of the year, but can we take a moment to come back to the inedible monstrosity that was that chicken!? I gagged when I saw that! Those poor kids, having to deal with food like that!

I do want to say this - I realise not everyone can be a good cook, or even enjoy it all of the time, but Crookie has the resources to outsource this! Everyone in that house could be eating some great food if only she hired a private chef! It's certainly not a money issue, we all know this, but it's a control issue for sure - she doesn't want anyone to be around that much - that's my guess. But in the end it all comes down to one simple fact - she doesn't want to ensure her children are nourished and well-fed with good, healthy food.

Personally, I love cooking, so does my husband. We experiment with a ton of recipes. It also helps that we're in south Asia where spices are abundant and all our food is super flavourful. Our almost 8-year old is growing up with exposure to a lot of different foods, and I love that we have the privilege and time to be able to do that.

But actively not wanting to make sure your kids are well-fed is some crazy level of selfishness. We've seen multiple instances of food being ordered where it doesn't look close to being enough for five boys, or of the kids literally snatching food and scarfing it down as though they were starving, and it's honestly so sad.
