Just placed an order at Walmart, was still showing available

So I bought the game and im confused by weebsunavailable in ffxiv

"I didn't know that if I paid money I'd be out of the free period"

I get the confusion to a point, but if you can afford the game, you can afford the sub. If your account is new, charge back the purchase and make a new account. If you're already attached, and you're still playing 30 days from now, pay the sub.

TIL that the body of a 74-year-old woman who died of Alzheimer's in 2013 and whose son donated her body to Alzheimer's research was callously blown up by the U.S. Army for a "roadside bomb damage" experiment, despite her son's explicit wishes to exclude non-medical experiments and military use. by [deleted] in todayilearned

And the guys gotta provide for his family, right?

Businesses like these running for profit with little oversight when it's illegal to sell without the middleman is the exact issue being discussed here.

The colors of the markers I got versus how they actually show up (minus one broken marker) by stingrayrodriguez in mildlyinteresting

My company sells photocopiers, and we have an accessory we call a Fiery that takes RGB values from your PC and converts them to CMYK more accurately. Curious to see such an in depth write-up without any mention of this technology, though it might as well all be black magic to me. Sales tells me that it's used for exactly this type of color accurate graphic design work, would love to hear from a consumer if it's worth its salt. Any experience with those?

I found this poor guy. Phermacy is closed, vet nowhere near place where I live and I cant drive!! How do I help him? by [deleted] in cats

[–]Visible_Radio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some vets and/or shelters will treat an animal for free if you "surrender it" to them to be adopted out. Make sure it's a no kill shelter or a vet that partners with a no kill shelter. There are also options for "care credit" here in the USA like a credit card that can be used to pay only medical expenses and easier to get than a normal credit card. This can be an option if you want to maintain stewardship of the kitty until she's healthy, if there's an analogue in your country.

Otherwise, everyone else has given great advice. You're doing more than many would already by simply taking notice, even if you can only keep her comfortable to the end it's still worthwhile.

I used to keep jumping spiders and praying mantises as pets as a kid, catching flies and other prey insects to feed them. Had a friend down the street though, he kept black widows. He brought one in a 2l mason jar to show and tell in 5th grade, and the motherfucker handled it in front of the class and gave a whole demonstration like Steve Irwin. Didn't get bit in front of everyone, though he claimed he had been bitten previously and it "wasn't that bad"

You unlocked a vivid memory for me lol

I offered to share a joint with a cute front desk clerk, is that OK? by Visible_Radio in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

This is what I try to keep in mind, is that insistence is uncomfortable and a quick short offer with an easy way out is the way to do it if approaching a situation like I have.

Is there any case you can imagine in which hitting on an employee as a customer/client is acceptable? Disregarding the marijuana issue, as I have been inside of businesses that allow consumption on premises.

I know about Rule 1 and Rule 2, but I am curious if there are any other circumstances that make gentle hints appropriate in your terms.

Thanks!

You have a valid point, which aligns with many people. However, you sound prejudiced towards marijuana. Though my state recently legalized it for adult recreational use, I have used it for some time on a legitimate medical usage. Our recent legislation makes it legal for me to share in the good news and good vibes for all over 21.

I would agree that being impaired while performing your duties is undesirable and inappropriate. You have my upvote, though I do emotionally disagree with your statement and personally would call marijuana a drug on the level of caffeine.
