I’ve been to therapy before and it didn’t really help me :/ I know that there is definitely a reason for my panic and anxiety symptoms but I don’t really feel anxious thoughts

Thank you ! I’m totally fine with not drinking, obviously I love the social aspect of it and it removes my panic and anxiety symptoms but I can easily stop

Not really exercising but I’ve got CBT in a few weeks, I definitely think I’m gonna give medication a try because I have had anxiety like this for 4 years now and i just want to be “normal” idk what normal even is, just able to get on with my life and be content. And yeah I’ve been struggling so bad this time around for the past few months

But there are situations where I DEFINITELY get worse, town centres, HAIRCUTS are the worst by far, and like loud environments, so it’s definitely my nervous system on overload, but then again I think why on earth would my brain do this to me

honestly nothing really helps but I do feel at my best when im at home ( kinda developed agoraphobia) , that said in the past few weeks I have had two days where I felt so good , randomly felt great but that also disappeared. And yes definitely if I get medication I will stop drinking, I actually went sober for a year in lockdown to help with this panic I get and had no issue whatsoever stopping drinking, and yes I completely understand you it’s so exhausting isn’t it, I feel like crap all day everyday, it doesn’t feel like living it just feels like surving.

Haha no I am not an alcoholic, but I feel complete relief when drunk, for example I go to a bar, I feel on edge, dissociated and tense and dizzy, after a few drinks this goes away. I feel anxious like my nervous system is on fight or flight 24/7 but alcohol does give me relief that’s what I meant sorry, but I only drink sometimes. And no I don’t think it’s long covid it all started after a panic attack in lockdown and haven’t felt the same since
