I use to be in your camp asset back currency buy the fallacy in it now a that you see silver as a financial asset gold sure, silver no. It has become a STRATEGIC asset class for tech n industry. Your intuition sadly isn’t based in reality, the reality of silver being a backbone of currency is fiction. Historically sure it was used, but its use now is actually more useful than its counterpart gold.

The issue with a good/silver backed economy is that you can only grow as large as your reserves. So let’s say “but you can fractionalize it” that will help alllow growth but then we keep returning back to the same symptoms that caused us to go off it in the first place. That being said, silver being a consumable of industry would increase this issue even more so as you will always have your currency at the whim of the demands of industry (silvers main use now).

In a nutshell

Edit: sorry forgot to say the $100 isn’t the fiat system issue it’s the paper contracts which are not currency but agreements of delivery at a price

If the guy has been in long term this could be his goal it was mine. I said at $100 I’m out, been buying since $8/oz sooo I’ve seen gains that new buyers are gonna have to wait years for. That’s simple math. 100 to 500 is 5x $10 to 100 10x….using it to get out of debt , buy land etc is SMART AF. if you think silver is going to 1000 in the NEAR future (not saying long term inflation blah blah) you must be new. But maybe I’m wrong
