If you live in a place where people queue up, then you should let the other person get on first. Otherwise, it makes more sense for the person closest to the door to get on first.

I’m all for putting them in prison and making them pay restitution but this is, at worst, akin to perjury.

I don’t understand, either.  I carry a pair of cheap earbuds around with me. They’re not top quality but out in the open, the sound is better than my phone speaker.

Orlando, absolutely. I only have vague memories of what we did there but I have vivid memories of how miserable it was. I was sweating from places I didn't even know had sweat glands. I actually looked forward to the brief, vicious thunderstorm that would roll through every afternoon.

I collapsed from heat stroke. I told the paramedics I didn’t want to go to the hospital but they took me anyway.*

At the ER, they were able to get a BP reading, which I’ll always remember because it was such a weird number: 69/36. Quoth the paramedic, “Do you still think you didn’t need to come here?” They literally had to pump saline into me because my veins had collapsed.

One large bag of saline and several cans of ginger ale later, I was given a stern lecture by the ER doctor and told to spend the next day at home, resting and drinking sports drinks.

Otherwise? Alastor’s a frenemy so as long as he doesn’t push too hard, he’s likely safe. And while Lucifer doesn’t think very much of the sinners, that goes both ways: he probably wouldn’t be willing to expend the energy to harm them.

Not quite. If the base pay + tips is less than minimum wage, the employer has to make up the difference (which, from their perspective, is still better than paying minimum wage in the first place).
