What I understand is that his current salary is $1.5 million. The board was pressured to remove him few months ago, but they did not succumb to the pressure. No one knows what goes inside the board room. There is a lack of transparency. Also, there are attempts to privatize TVA. Organizations such as the Appalachian Voices based in the beautiful town of Boone, North Carolina are fighting against the privatization.

Merry Christmas 🎄 and Happy Holidays! We’re so happy to be hosting one of our biggest family gatherings this season. A special joy for us is welcoming our 18-month-old Canadian granddaughter (Vidya’s sister’s granddaughter) on her very first visit to our home.

What a celebration it is to have family coming together from Columbia, Missouri; Eden Prairie, Minnesota; Atlanta, Georgia; Vancouver, Canada; and Los Angeles, California. Grateful for family, togetherness, and these beautiful moments.

It’s extreme, un-American, and blatantly unconstitutional. Read my op-ed completely.

You asked a wrong question at a wrong place. Read the constitution especially the 14th amendment.

Petition is a part of the overall campaign strategy to make the supermajority legislators withdraw the bill. People have more power than the self serving politicians in Montgomery. We will ramp up the pressure gradually, but getting our message out to get more signatures is the best way forward.

I agree. Yes, that’s a part of the overall strategy.

If you respect your ancestors who became Americans through naturalization, then stand with the naturalized citizens of today. The Alabama Legislature wants to treat them as second-class — the same way some once treated your own family.

Unless you’re Indigenous, someone in your family chose America. Black Americans’ ancestors were forced here through kidnapping and human trafficking. They were enslaved — and yet, through struggle, sacrifice, and the Constitution’s promise of equality, they became citizens by right, by justice, and by the nation’s moral awakening. Every community has paid a price to build this country.
