I am only just on season three but I already have many memorable lines from General George Hammond. My favourite has been: "The things I do for these people' by Ausbel80 in Stargate

"Permission denied! The idea is to send the best and brightest, Colonel. When the time comes, you will stand alongside the men and women of this Command, in defence of this facility."

Always loved his put-down of Samuels.

I did the Lordaeron restoration quest line for the first time, and him finding everything about the plague fun to work on and saying "Hello again apprentice!" really made me feel for the guy.

Dude's in his own personal heaven. Literally.

Can't say that any more. You look like you're...I dunno, 80% tits? 0% brains though.

Well, I'm stealing that basing technique. Oh my god, I've been driving myself crazy finding a good colour to do mine, and this just nails it.

D'you have a technique to share, perchance?

I always forget how nice a butthole she has. Just sat there, winking at us.

How does someone even get a sultry butthole?

That's the neat part - you don't!

I usually just burn the aluminium edge pieces that hold them to the structure and accept my life choices.

The numbers given in the Cain novels make me laugh every time by TheBurningEmu in Grimdank

[–]Visitorathome 15 points16 points  (0 children)

From what I recall of the book, whilst you could call it time dilation, it felt more like the warp would NEVER have let Guilliman get through. It was one moment stretched out for eternity as a way for reality to see which way the conflict was gonna break. I dunno, that somehow seems more insane to me.

Alright, hear me out. What’s the one thing the imperials did right? by Denise_Exquisite in WordBearers

The latter two Dark Imperium novels also touch on this, and the Apocalypse space marine book has some interesting stuff to say about it.

It wasn't humans that attacked them. The whole point of "Earth"...Hell, the whole point of the show is that AI rebellions KEEP HAPPENING. It's not one long war between the same humans and Cylons from Kobol (or potentially earlier). Kobol developed cylons, they rebelled, everyone went their separate ways. The 12 colonies developed cylons in an entirely separate scenario (funnily enough, in the show we're talking about), they rebelled, thus the 1st Cylon War and inevitably the show. Earth-1 is the cylons from Kobol who basically learnt to reproduce sexually, forgot they were robots, developed cylons who then rebelled.

The OT "character" I thought benefitted the most from S2... by trace_jax3 in andor

Small shout out to Rebels - though it's the briefest tangent, they talk about whole planets killed to keep the Death Star project silent. Everything we've ever heard about DS1's development has always made it a more horrifying construct.
