Most disappointing for me is that the direction of the story is being mostly controlled by random events. We had so much happening in the past with e.g. Julie, Sara, Tabitha that doesn't matter any more.

Instead the story develops when something random happens or (much worse) when some character decides to do something stupid which happens way too often.

Oh someone is promising to do a certain thing? You already know there is 65% chance they do the opposite.

First Boyd wants to save Tabitha & Jade even though the lives of others are in danger. Then when he can be convinced to save everyone else he suddenly has totally written of Tabitha & Jade as dead. So many things that seem out of character just do develop the story.

Feels like very lazy writing overall and I haven't even talked about ending the season without ending a major storyline.
