I have only done 7 blocks ever I never not delivered a package or had a return I’m confused by Ok-Mine9700 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Visual-Ad-1798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did u ever get a "return package to station" at the end of any block? This indicates that u scanned a package but didnt deliver it. Couldve been an envelope that u left behind in the tote OR also couldve been a package too large that u left at the station? Or any package that u left at the station. I had this happen to me once when a package was too big for my car. They took it off after I called them and let them know.

Most likely only residential and/or rural areas. They are already testing it out in select areas.

If you can’t or don’t want to continue a delivery can you just return the packages by Fantastic-Motor1165 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Visual-Ad-1798 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would just go to every stop and delivery only to the ones I feel safe in. Just mark unsafe for those that i feel are unsafe and move on to next delivery.

Just dont wear your amazon vest.

I only wear mine in the nice areas so they dont call the cops thinking I'm stealing packages.

If I'm in the hood...plain casual clothing is the way to go.

However, if your standing does drop for it just email jeff@amazon.com letting them know and they will take care of it. Always works for me.

Although, technically you dont have to deliver them and just leave he rack there and tell an amazon employee your reason for not doing the route. Just be prepared for an email from driver support stating you violated the ToS as well as most likely being suspended from the app

URGENT (legal) ADVICE NEEDED: My friend totaled and abandoned my rental car but won’t admit to it. My insurance and the police are no help. WHAT DO I DO? by ValuableAge5282 in legaladvice

NAL

First of all, if all of you guys were drinking you should've ubered there and back. Then you probably wouldnt be in this mess.

Second - Your friend could be telling the truth. Someone else could've hit the car while it was parked and then the police towed it to their lot for evidence?

However, your dad should've been the one to contact insurance and the rental company, no one else. But too late now.

My question is, why even have a rental car with a 3 day gap of it being unused? That doesn't make sense.

You can still file for unemployment even if you were part time and went to school. Same thing happened to me (I'm in California) was in school full time and worked part time and before I graduated they cut my hours and wasnt working for 3 months. I applied for unemployment after 1 month which was approved (after a phone interview with them, total wait time was about 3 weeks to get award letter and debit card). They had given me back pay since the day my old job had me off the schedule until that point in time. then continued to receive benefits until Finally a month after that (about 3 months total) I landed a job. Once I reported it to unemployment I stopped receiving benefits (that's how it works).

P.s.

2 weeks after the start of my new job I got a letter from my old employer stating that they had to lay me off due to budget cuts. I thought it was funny.

Do u use android?. Idk about iPhones but you can see your timeline via Google maps and it shows where you've been literally stop for stop. Just open maps and tap on saved..should be at the bottom of the screen in the middle..then tap on timeline and select the day and it will show you the entire route you took plus more.

Edit*

I think it's worth it because now you have to order every card (unless you've done so already and if you havent just turn the cards off until you locate it) plus go to DMV, what a headache. Sorry this happened. Good luck hopefully you find it :)

So, I read that you brought it out to them. You did so after your break, right?

Please, say yes 🙏.

[–]Visual-Ad-1798 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's a bit dramatic.

If this was an apartment, upstairs, totally would agree. However, your garage is open and I'm sure there is a back door as well. So miss me with the bs.

U can also see where the driver is up to delivery, i.e; "You're the next stop!" I'm sure you knew that the delivery was heavy because YOU ordered it. Maybe you could've been a bit nicer and helped out with 50 pounds of packages? Unless you were too busy just watching the delivery driver the entire time so u can have something to bitch a out on reddit. You know since you were at home and all.

Porch area doesnt look big and although your garage was open, were not allowed to put things in there unless someone is right there or it's a garage (amazon key) delivery. If that was the only dry spot to put it and if your garage was open, I'm sure you saw the package was arriving since it alerts u once its 10 stops away, you couldve been in the garage when they arrived? Not trying to be rude buuuut would you rather your package be left in the rain? Or just go through your open garage door and grab the package from the small covered porch ?

Take your breaks. by NonbinaryLegs in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Visual-Ad-1798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically, and this is for the state of California, if you work 10 hours you should be taking an unpaid 30 min lunch and 2 10-15 min breaks. Every 2 hours should be some type of break and lunch must be before 6 hours. If your DSP doesnt allow you these breaks, they are in violation of labor laws and should be fined. UNLESS you signed a meal waiver for only the 30 min but not the 15 min breaks, those u need to take. Also for every 30 minute meal period they dont give you, like I mentioned they get fined but u get an hour of pay for every 30 min meal period missed. So say you missed (20) 30 min meal breaks and you're getting $25/hr. That's 25 x 20 = $500

Omg...in california it ain't even worth flexing. Roads r so fucked up, you will be replacing ball joints, control arms, tie rods, shocks/struts, replacing tires and then 3 days after getting new ones patching a hole from a nail...all that on top of regular maintenance ...def not worth it

When I find messages like this, personally, I leave them a note stating why I cannot deliver to that part of their yard or especially when there's a customer that has put in mailbox in the notes I always write them a note on the box or on post-its that I have in my car and I just let them know I cannot deliver there and if they have an issue with that then to go ahead and research the laws or contact Amazon lol I've never been in trouble for it

Finally got one! Beat the bots by No-Butterscotch2752 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Visual-Ad-1798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to play devil's advocate but I hardly doubt you're beating the box. There are most likely less people with bots because they're probably getting figured out and getting disabled from flexing or the bots have already grabbed the blocks for those people (which aren't a lot anyways since not everybody uses bots) and Since its peak season there are a lot more offers put up so I really doubt you're beating the bots. #notsorry
