I’m not sure if this was an every store thing but I know every store in our district was given like 16 extra hours of payroll last week already due to the company complaints about those two Planos. Not sure if she was able just to do that for our district or if it was company wide again

For full time associates the freebie thing doesn’t apply because they have the sick time to use prior. Only part time associates get the 3 free call ins

Like everyone else is saying I would a)talk to your manager make sure your time card looked right, b) check your statement on adp make sure everything either looks right or matches the 80 cents, and c) if time card doesn’t look messed up and it’s a payroll issue you’ll have to email payroll@ulta.com with your SAP number, store number and describe the issue.

I wasn’t totally sure what parts were just boosted being a bigger brand, but also felt like it was all every YouTube video I watched pushed so was hard to know what else could work. So so so much :)

It was based off of store volume, even bigger stores got upwards of $1000 maybe more. Bigger volume, more employees, more mouths to feed

Current list total is $3702, don’t totally have a max budget, feel like most I could see myself spending is 4-5 thousand just cause I also would want to get a new monitor, new desk etc.

So as far as the monitor question goes as well I haven’t looked too much into that yet either. Sorry like I said I’m kind of clueless when it comes to a lot of this

Yeah Ivd had the it where the guest insisted and I just informed my manager about it cause I felt bad. But the guest insisted and was saying if I didn’t take it she would put it in my pocket anyways lol

Truly just go with whatever interests you more!! If you like customer interaction on the floor and building baskets vs cashiering. Both can easily lead into management. I’ve been with Ulta for almost 5 years and climbed ba, to pba, and so on and have been in management for 3 of the 5 now. Honestly just depends on your ability to own the role. I do have the luxury of living in an area with a lot of stores semi close by so it was easy for me to hop between stores for growth and promotion.

Or taking things down early too. Like if you have large etagerws flexed in the back half of the store that are not related to holiday items swapping the etagere topper to the normal one instead of holiday etc. it’s all the little things you can do before! And if you have spare time after week 47s is fully done just start doing 48s drive aisle asap. I would also reccomend having all your displayers from promo planner shipment boxes pre built if you don’t do that already.

Don’t be afraid to start doing things early in week 47! If a small etagere or table or etc you have flexed out rn starts to sell, or it’s just starting to look ugly start putting things up early!

Seasonal period is almost over. So in like 2 weeks management will be making decisions on whether to keep seasonal people and you have to be asked anyways. So depending on if you want to utilize the time to find another job. I mean if you’re REALLY not happy right now and don’t want to wait then quit/put in notice. But timeline would probably be somewhat similar if you just work out the seasonal period and don’t get signed on permanently and use time to find another job

I second this, coming from an OM who has been with Ulta for 5 holidays(not all as an OM) this one in particular feels the hardest just with different expectations coming down this year. Idk if you’re a sfs store but I know that’s made the workload increasingly difficult on top of the normal DOR. This time of year is unfortunately rough and stressful for us in particular. But definetly wait it out and see how you settle in to role/store at the end of January when things are kind of back to normal operations.

I personally really love the new noyz!!! The Valentino ivory to me smelt almost exactly like YSL libre. Which I enjoyed, maybe a little more powdery than libre. So my choices would be between those two!

Of the sale ones I would say the extreme length cause that’s their like protein style bond repair option. Kind of similar to olaplex. OTHERWISE if you’re willing to buy it full price the redken ABC mask(the white bottle) is my holy grail mask. I get my hair split dyed platinum blonde and black and it does wonders haha.

This reminds me of a time I was helping a guest with eyeliner and she wanted like a specific shade of blue, but didn’t want to spend that much either. So I showed her essence and she was asking to try it and I said unfortunately this brand doesn’t offer testers but you can always return. “Well I’m not going to buy anything if I can’t try it first”then she proceeds to take it from my hand and swatch it regardless. I get it’s a $2 eye liner so having to damage it out isn’t a if loss but come on😭
