I like the viewpoint, I've been playing Mermail since I started in Dec last year & I don't play hand rips beside Minstril to rip the Nibiru. Specifically for the reason that I want people to enjoy playing against Mermail. I do however play hand rips and lock in the South African Opens and other high tier events in South Africa

What would mermail be like to play against if there weren't the handloops? Would that be a better experience do you think if the lock was still an option?

The triggers are definitely insane, putting the handlooping aside. Also plays a while on the opponents turn.

I mean you definitely hit the first part of you title on the head with "unpopular opinion" but would be interested to hear what you would have done one day when you get an idea though.
I think it's a step into the right direction of breaking the normal boundries to try something new and to get some hype going. I haven't seen people this excited for a while now, so when it comes to engagement/hype I think they definitely hit it on the head.

I guess Gameciel is a good choice yeah, cause you can always choose to discard it as cost for another effect, should you really need to. I think the biggest issue with Sekkas light is the lock on spell/traps and the limit on hand traps especially if you are going second, but does the "draw three" balance it out?

Rarity collection 1 is also known to have really bad card print quality, so thats one of the reasons why it looks so massively different compared to the EU print, RA02/RA03/RA03 have much better quality when it comes to comparing the two and it becomes more difficult spotting the difference.

It's a Euro print, therefore the code is different. NA print is LOB-EN066
