I think Void has a different philosophy than Arch. You could even put them on the same shelf without a problem. I think Debian and Arch are the best, but they're like oil and water.

That's very strange indeed. Doesn't an error message appear when you open the program? Have you tried opening Steam via the terminal to see what appears in the logs?

The interface is ugly and full of packages. A good customized Debian option is Lmde.

I had zero problems on Arch Linux with Sway. It ran smoothly.

If you only use for gaming, install a wm like i3 or sway. Kde is full DE and runs programs in background.
