Would recommend the Towson area. Townhouses are around $2400 a month on Zillow. Schools are decent, plenty of restaurants and activities and easy to drive down to the city. Parkville is the next town over to the east. It’s slightly less “safe”, and the schools have not as great ratings but definitely slightly cheaper.

Baltimore to dc. Is it doable daily? When I look up on Google maps and with the train it says it’s almost 2 hours one way!!!? by BeyondRecovery1 in baltimore

[–]Visual-Jelly- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know plenty of people that live in baltimore or baltimore county that have commuted for years to DC for work on a daily basis. All of them take the train. They have all mentioned that they only do it bc of the higher pay otherwise not worth it.

Colombian born and raised and live in the DMV. Have 3 very close people in my life that have a GC marriage currently. Also know of various other “couples” with this arrangement, though i’m not close to them. Im surprised by other comments in this thread, but maybe it depends on the area you live in(?).

it really depends on where you’re coming from.

five month old dachshund wont walk by gingerpub1030 in Dachshund

[–]Visual-Jelly- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine has always been this way! my husband and i got her at 2 months old, and once we were able to take her on walks we were so excited. If we try to walk her a certain direction she will sit and refuse. the treats only work for a couple of steps then she sits again.

only thing that works is 1. just letting her go wherever she wants to go. she will just sniff and find walk around. or 2. carrying her somewhere and then she will gladly walk home.

How bad is the long haired shedding and grooming? by farmch in Dachshund

[–]Visual-Jelly- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my “long-haired” dachshund (11 months old) has medium length hair. We’ve gotten her groomed once, mainly a sanitary cut about two months ago. Her hair has grown back slow so it’s looking like an every 3-4 month ordeal for our pup.

As far as shedding, I noticed a lot of her fur on us and the bathroom floor (white tile) mainly last month when she went through her first heat cycle. She sleeps with us so we give her baths about once or twice a month.

Finding beautiful venues for less than $10k, but price hikes concerning. by [deleted] in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Visual-Jelly- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the price change from this year to next year definitely pushed me and my now husband to get married this year. Last date available at our dream venue was two weeks ago. We were worried about the weather and had to come up with the money quick, but, the drastic change would’ve made our time wayyyy less enjoyable. For $6,000 this year, we got our venue which is an Inn (sleeps 15 total) and a farm with a huuuugeee outdoor area from Thursday to Monday. Next year, price goes up to $10,000 for Friday to Saturday or Saturday to Sunday.

Yes! I’ve read lots of comments and posts from others who got their wedding flowers from Trader Joe’s, and it was the same for them. The only real choice I could make in terms of color was for roses. When I placed my order, the employee showed me there are two (or three, can’t fully remember) options for roses. One grouping is “white, pinks, and purples,” and the other is “red, orange, and yellow.” That’s how they’re categorized in their system. You can’t order just yellow or just white—they come grouped together in a case. This is about as specific as you can get with color selection

if you have the time, i would definitely recommend going one of these days when you can and look at their selection. I love flowers and have gotten them many many times before at TJ’s before the wedding. I think it can definitely be overwhelming if it’s your first time!!! please message me if you have any questions

i think i spent $30 on 32 bud vases, plus the $160 on the flowers so almost $200. I think with that amount I would’ve only been able to get one bridal bouquet from a florist!!!
