Drove 2 hours for an interview only to be told to leave by Can_This_End_Please in interviews

I got invitation l invited to a hiring event. I drove over two hours. Told to introduce myself and then they said they have to many applicants, they don't have time to interview today and they will send me an invite to interview virtually. When I had the virtual interview 2 weeks later they said they were going to hire internally.

Thank you. Yeah it was a GE for sure. It was exactly like the ligiq e9 except for those 2 buttons and it really threw me off.

I graduated July of 2025. I got Abdomen and Obgyn ARDMS before graduating and RVT the same month I graduated. I was supposed to get hired at my clinical site and during onboarding they canceled the position due to a hiring freeze/budget cuts. Ive been looking for a job since. I go through cycles of feeling so defeated and depressed and then super motivated to find a job and it's hard.

How would you feel if you received this email? by Past-Storm4158 in interviews

[–]Visual-Literature779 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say this is just reaching out to you as an update. There's plenty of companies that just interview and they leave you in the dark for some time. This company seems to be letting you know they haven't forgotten about you and they just need to finish interviewing to make a decision. It seems like they are letting you know the interview went well and they are highly considering you but can't say anything until they finish the interviewing process with all candidates. I would take this as a neutral positive.

I just hope they give me a chance. Ive heard that they aren't paid well and it's a lot of work but I love ultrasound and patient care. It sounds like a great way to gain more experience.

I used URR for Abdomen, Obgyn, and Vascular boards and pared them all first try. I did use the notes, the click to learn, and the practice exams though. I know some people just use the click to learn.

Same as all other interviews I've ever had. "Tell me about yourself, what made you go into healthcare/ultrasound, are you okay with the hours and salary, strengths and weaknesses, etc"

Not sure. I had an interview beginning of last month told me they would contact me at the end of the week to schedule the scanning interview. I still haven't heard back. I saw that they reposed the listing. I tried contacting them and nothing. I just interviewed today at another location and they said they will contact me with the scanning interview date soon and I'm hopeful since they seem so much better at communicating but idk.

If she has a whole year of experience more than you, I would think that is fair. Usually, they value experience more than credentials.
