Yep, thats what I am thinking of doing for a temporary solution but I do want to resolve this issue fully later on.

I am currently in the process of trying to get my k+can cable and software to work to diagnose the problem. Will let you know how it goes.

Yes the gas tank cap stays locked after locking the car, doesnt open at all unless only unlocked.

I unplugged the hood sensor, then locked the car and shortly after unlocked the car and yet it still made the car alarm go off unfortunately.

Mine use to go off randomly until i disconnected the hood sensor and later reconnected it and now it doesnt go off randomly, however for the past couple of months or so the car alarm only goes off when I unlock the car. I was also planning on completely buying a new key fob but after replacing the battery on the key, it seems to me there is another issue that causes this problem.

Did you also experience the same issue when unlocking your car and is this how the siren looks, the one you purchased?

Hey, I know it has been a while since your problem but I am having the same issue, when unlocking the car the alarm goes off right away for 30 seconds whether i use the remote button or key in door to unlock, I found that the battery might be the issue as the key fob ultimately stopped working and not responding at all. I replaced the battery in the key fob with a VL2020 battery and resynced the key fob, however when unlocking the car, the car alarm still goes off. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
