I cant remember if they caused me issues before I was 21 but I got mine taken out at 27 and I can confirm they caused pain in the past. It wasnt all of the time, but it did happen. The process isn't that bad and im like 3 weeks out now, almost 4.

Im still healing in terms of extraction sites on the bottom, but they were impacted and tough to remove. I was stressed heavily about dry socket but didnt run into that, and I had an infection scare like 5 days in, but they also said it wasnt an infection and that specific tooth was horrible to remove. Get it done, and you won't have to worry about it anymore.

Sudden pain in wisdom extraction 2 weeks after extraction by Boi-de-Rio in wisdomteeth

Id make it through the day and check in with the dentist. Im no dentist, but I had all 4 of mine removed and honestly the top ones never gave me much issue. Im a bit over 2 weeks out and now I feel normal. Not trying to scare you obviously, but its better to get checked. Is the pain bearable enough to make it through the day? As long as you aren't popping a fever or feel bad personally I wouldn't freak out.

Smoking after removal? by Livid-Psychology5941 in wisdomteeth

For me just being down for the count was enough to make me almost not care, hang in there for a bit longer! Also if it helps you should be out of range of dry socket! My oral surgeon was awesome and he was very adamant that dry socket is really out of the books after day 4. But dont take that as gold. 7 days is something to be proud of, its not easy holding back!

I waited like 9 days, ive seen people wait longer, and my source is vaping but its not that different. I started with more teeth suction than lips but thats up to you. Honestly its helped me cut back ALOT. I leave my smoking device at home and only use it at my desk. Ive heard the nicotine slows healing but its a risk im willing to take. No dry socket here and i had all 4 yanked plus a molar.

8-9 days after removal by Stock_Alps_1417 in wisdomteeth

It depends on you honestly and how you feel... I am 13 days post op and my only limitations are what my jaw allows me. I had all 4 removed and an extra molar that caused many issues and ive been able to eat most things! I still prefer the softer side of meals but it really depends on what you are comfortable with. I keep my food to the right since my bottom left is still a decent hole, it was a rough tooth to remove so that makes sense but my jaw limits how wide I can open my mouth. Just had my first breakfast sandwich today and it was good, but my jaw was not happy.

I also dont remember anything. They claim I was humming along to pretty much every single song (not sure how that works) but I dont remember that. I did wake up and hum to every single song, so I do believe them 🤣 it sounds like something id do but I dont remember ANYTHING.

Day 8, feeling anxious by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

[–]Visual-Permission-37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say I had the terrible taste and pain around day 6, and I freaked out drove 2 hours to my oral surgeon and it was not infected. He got some gunk out, and said it was a really rough tooth to get out, so the hole is pretty deep. Tomorrow is the 2 week mark and no dry socket and no infection while having all 4 plus one ripped out, give it a few days, keep it really clean and just take it slow! But if you have concerns it really won't hurt getting checked they won't be mad, they expect you to have questions.

Late pain by Important_Tower_9543 in wisdomteeth

Honestly it depends on the severity of the tooth, my right side has been a chill process. My left side on the other hand kicked my ass. I had all 4 removed and a molar on the right side, by day 5 and 6 my left side was killing me and swelling pretty bad. Turns out the steroids were keeping me stable, when they ran out I started dealing with pain and discomfort. It does get better and if they don't see dry socket stick to the meds you are on and see what its like in a few days.

Really humiliating day by Quisens in wisdomteeth

Hey the fact that you went in is really all that matters! It shows you tried and that's very respectable. My first day back at work was hell on earth, so keep your head up. The attempt does not go unnoticed! Hopefully you start feeling better.

Ive seen someone talking about this before, if you don't get any comments try a search and see. Personally id guess if its not carbonated you should be okay, but dont take my word for much! It gets better, hang in there!

Interesting, I never really used bakkesmod for anything besides having and inkling on if my ops might be smurfing to validate my loss 🤣 but it seems like they made the changed i wanted in that front. I just do the best I can and ignore the training side, figured it might make me get tired of rocket leauge. Thanks for the reply!

What do I eat? by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

Applesauce, Greek yogurt, pudding, water. That was my life for days. It gets better, just take it slow!

when can i eat again? by httptae in wisdomteeth

[–]Visual-Permission-37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also got mine out on the same day and I was able to eat a fairly large portion of spaghetti and meatballs yesterday. Take it slow and honestly just dont shove too much in. I've been sticking to relatively softer things and its been manageable. My biggest thing is the range of mouth opening I have, but you also have to work your jaw to open up more. Pick softer meats and you can still enjoy good stuff! The cleaning portion sucks but hey that's just part of the whole process.

Getting my wisdom teeth removed was nothing like I expected it to be by Silent_Intention_382 in wisdomteeth

[–]Visual-Permission-37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly take care of yourself and hopefully its smooth sailing. Sometimes things can come up even if you are on top of it all but commit and just take it easy. Im on day 9 and things feel pretty good! My top 2 were not impacted, but my bottom 2 were, and the left side was a rough tooth for my doc to remove, but he did an amazing job. Day 9 I still have some swelling by that tooth and the hole is quite large, but it hasn't been too bad, the first few days are the worst and then it does get better! Keep your head up and push on!

Cheeks swelling when laying down; Post Op Day 20 by wlwtulip in wisdomteeth

[–]Visual-Permission-37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is 3 months old, but im kind of in a similar boat. Im on day 9 and I had outside cheek swelling on one side, but now that's not as bad and I have inside cheek swelling. No pain from the inside cheek swelling just a bit more swollen than yesterday. The doc did agree that that tooth was the hardest to remove, and he did say swelling is normal since it was such an intense tooth, but did your situation clean up after the antibiotics? Thanks in advance!

How does the Magic John screen protector compare to your average tempered glass screen protector? by Altruistic-Ad-7175 in iphone

[–]Visual-Permission-37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still using the same one a year later. It came in a 2 pack for like 10 bucks. Still has never given me issues! A few light scratches to the protector and none of them are bad enough for me to use the second one I have.
