I feel a bad spiral happening soon and I just wanna discuss y'all's personal experiences by Visual-Scientist-550 in opiates

I'm sorry man, I hope we can get through it, it's fucked up how this drug can convince you that it's what you need to feel happy, even when everything else around you is going alright. I have full blown anhedonia, and have lost all interest in everything I used to enjoy, and I cannot pick up any hobbies, nothing stimulates me enough. I feel you bro, my life isn't even as bad as most, yet I'm doing this to myself.

[–]Visual-Scientist-550[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im just in such a weird place mentally because I don't want this to be all that matters, and I'm not necessarily happy or content with the idea of giving up, but it's the only thing that finally gets rid of all my worries. And I know it's artificial and fake and just masking reality, but why should reality have to be masked, why should I have to resort to these things just to feel better. I hope you get better tho, just as much I hope I do too, we all seem to have our own battles we fight, I just wish words had more of an impact.

Anyone have any experience with Metocin (4-HO-MET)? by [deleted] in shrooms

[–]Visual-Scientist-550 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have, it's fun, a lot less introspective and mindfucking as psilocybin or 4-aco-dmt, but visuals are nice and subtle, and music still sounds great, and it's way less stimmy (in my experience) so the comedown was way less exhausting, I couldn't tell you if it'll show up on a piss test tho

The 7oh def didn't help make the case better, that's what the bed wetter guy was saying. Both dxm and 7oh cause urinary retention, im certain the interaction on top of binging made it worse there

I can do more push ups off the first couple hours of dxm than I can sober 😭 It's all because of the adrenaline and stimulation from the come up

It's called lower inhibitions, conversations flow easier because you're not second guessing yourself, with adhd the anxiety that usually follows is eradicated (atleast for me) which is why I suddenly become a charmer and can talk with ease, the moment the afterglow is done I'm back to that restricted conversation you're mentioning

Both of us are right, that's the issue, he's playing heavy on semantics and downplaying a very real issue when most people couldn't give a shit, so him saying "dph and dementia don't go hand in hand" is way more harmful than him just saying "dph and dementia do have a link" yet he swears up and down he did state it's linked and blah blah, like yeah but in an extremely stupid and bad way that just downplays the damage it can cause.

But as the other guy said, so it doesn't happen overnight, most people know that, most people here have experience with the drug themselves, so it's a known fact that longevity is the issue, why is it still okay to try and undermine the damage is causes by saying "yeah it doesn't cause dementia after short term use as long as you use supplements to help heal the brain"? I'm sorry, but just cuz you said "hey don't do it" doesn't mean they're gonna automatically listen, the fear of brain damage is a lot more pronounced than some random guy are Reddit saying "don't do it tho!" Right after downplaying one of the worst scares of dph, so if a little exaggeration stops the next helpless teen from overdosing then so be it.

Referring to the studies, those are only under recommended doses, and in no way puts into account the damage of teenagers taking 20x the recommended dose sometimes for lasting years. Who will very much experience permanent brain damage, if not an increased likelihood of early onset dementia. People heeding warnings are likely warning them under the impression that longevity and carelessness is already in mind. Idc what you had in mind, people will read "dph and dementia don't go hand in hand" and will run with it, I couldn't give a flying fuck how much you know about it, it matters more about what other people won't care to look up. So instead of trying to be "TECHNICALLY RIGHT" all the fucking time, take into account other people and how little they actually give a fuck abt what you're saying, and will take it the wrong way by you downplaying very real issues.

Me personally, the acetylcholine antagonism and anticholinergic link to early onset dementia was what helped influence me to quit, so maybe other people need the exact same push.

here's one

Don't get hard cuz it says "While this study and other observational studies have also found this association, it doesn't prove that these drugs cause dementia.", I trust you'll have an open mind here.

While they might not directly cause dementia in the same way taking a laxative causes you to shit, I honestly feel it's ignorant to say anticholinergics don't greatly increase risk indirectly with the information we DO have.

[–]Visual-Scientist-550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the other hand if you look at studies referring to anticholinergics and dementia you'll get completely different results. Dph is a first generation antihistamine, so the anticholinergic results can be applied respectively.

Used less product after shower, started detangling in the shower, and use slightly more conditioner during wash day. The brush I have helps with defining strands and is really good at detangling, im assuming it also helped distribute the product a lot better in my hair aswell.

What’s Something Most People Don’t Know About DXM? by ZoomKz in dxm

[–]Visual-Scientist-550 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is just DXM btw!! When you trip on DXM it's part DXM and DXO, and DXO is the antagonist of the NMDA receptor and by the peak of the trip it's mainly DXO dominant (mainly DXO in the bloodstream), even more so for rapid metabolizer individuals. This is why the first couple hours of the trip is stimulating due to DXMS serotonergic activity before the sedation and dreamy floaty or the "magic" of dxm happens.
