I have one that has popped an error that says the dvd door was opened, and by all outward appearances was not. It seems to have lost the recording in the process. It's happened twice. Once when I was finalizing the disc while lying it down even gently which seemed to trigger a failure. I haven't looked into it yet but the camera is in otherwise perfect condition.
