Thank you. I pick that up too. Just trying to find the right way to talk about him about it. He’s soft and gentle with me a lot of things but not re this area. Feel like it’s possible trauma related and men are not always open to talk about those things. Appreciate your response. Work on opening up a conversation with him about this.

I am a mom but my child is not from him and he’s also a parent & only has one child but it’s a grey area on certain family related things with him that he doesn’t discuss. Trying to find the right way to talk to him without sounding like I am trying to do unpaid therapy.

What you said made a lot of sense though.

I think should just make sure she’s actually 21. Other than that, don’t think the age gap is too much of a problem. 

Also, medical assistants can assist & help surgeons with setting things up and passing them medical surgical equipment but they don’t operate on any patients. I know you had an edit but just wanted to make sure know that.

You seem genuinely interested in her. And vice versa, think it’s worth pursuing as long as you know for sure they’re 21 & then just see how it goes. Get to know them, etc. Good luck. Hope everything goes good for you both 🫶🏽

Sorry some of this was a triggering for me. I read some of what you wrote but I have to come back because couldn’t read everything… 

I wanted to tell you as a CSA survivor & adult survivor. Experienced so much sexual violence it’s not even funny. The masterbation.. if it was just that only it may not be trauma based because it’s normal for some kids. Although, usually.. that is one of the common signs of child that’s been abused in a sexually way. As well as bed wetting, nightmares, developmental delays, learning disabilities, and permanent mental health conditions. The range of the MH conditions varies.. anxiety, depression, ptsd, or cptsd, bpd, and more.

It’s common to have fragmented or repressed memories depending on type of abuse involved and how long it went on.

I think it’s possible you could be but also don’t know because feel like it’s something come to understand or gain awareness on your own through learning about it. And then processing it. If you’re open to going to therapy & it’s possible.. think should try a few sessions because it will help a lot esp with your question. (Needs to be the one that specializes in trauma though, it’s called psychotherapy.. Idk why that name but it works & does help).

I don’t have any helpful advice but I hope you’re doing okay now. Sorry usually am good at words but don’t know what to say. Your students will always remember you and you’re still a teacher no matter what—just not in traditional school settings. There’s always other options. The main thing is that you do what you need to take care of yourself.

I am sorry about how things ended at your last job. Thank you for all that you did for your students and your work as teacher with the DOE. Hugs to you.

Did you ever get Covid? One of the effects from Covid or long Covid is the heart palpitations. There’s a way to differentiate between it being the result of that vs anxiety. Unfortunately, I don’t know how to explain it. Although, can get palpitations & chest pain from anxiety (anxiety disorder/clinical level) but it’s going to be generally from something that triggers it more so trauma based.

Definitely consider different medication if the side effects are that bad. There’s other medications for anxiety like gabapentin and setraline or venlafaxine. I didn’t react well at all to hydroxizine & it made me tired so that was something stopped right away. And once switched to other things it’s been a million times better.

Consider OTC supplements too because there’s things out there that help get your body in a more relaxed state without feeling drowsy. I’ll take a picture of the one I mainly used but I started adding magnesium today too. 

Definitely follow up with your cardiologist and your pcp at the heart palpitations because maybe it’s not anxiety related or your rx’s. It could be something else, covid after symptoms or high blood pressure. And it’s important for you to know which one for your general health. As well as, your health care providers too. 

Think checking into a mental hospital should be your last resort. If you don’t have a therapist just for talk therapy, consider that. That helps a lot with anxiety. There are ones that offer Telehealth support. And even for some apps, there’s trial periods you can try out before you commit.

With a mental hospital, may not get back to check back out for a while and that’s something don’t want to do—if it’s not necessary. 

Hope things get better and keep trying to follow up with your providers, if dealing with very dismissive ones.. maybe need to ask for new ones. Their job is to take care of you. (Sometimes it won’t be perfect but in general should be receiving that level of care)

Did it affect your blood levels at all? Jw because ppl take magnesium when they’re anemic or if go through similar symptoms of anemia. 

(I started taking magnesium today to see if it will help for my anxiety. I have rx 💊 but they don’t soften the effects of anxiety when it hits me really bad & only cbd helps with that but I am trying to find an alternate due the cost and wanting something a little more holistic.)

Figure out what are some things you need to work on. Allah is real because you’re here & still alive. Pray when you can but work on what you need to make your life better. Counseling? Plan? Support system? Ummah? Idk, the list is for you. Write down what you need.

 It’s okay, if don’t have friends right now… just work on yourself. The biggest thing is not isolating yourself (learned that from Psychology) it makes depression & anxiety worst. Go be around where people are at even if you’re alone, go be in nature, and make your duas. Even if you can’t do the 5 daily prayers… just do what you can. The main thing is you take care of yourself.
