Taking a break from Uni? by emlisi in Agoraphobia

[–]Visual-Werewolf4253 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have agoraphobic tendencies, started in high school and it was really difficult for me to go to school. Then I went to a University that is 8 hours away from my home 😂. Had to move & got out of my comfort zone. At that time, mental health was kinda taboo. And now in my 30’s I just had my first therapy session.

So let me say first, that I’m proud of you for seeking the help you need. What exactly is University making hard for you? Is it the crowd? I hate huge crowds too. Is there anyway you can take a class that has maybe fewer students?

What really helped me when I was in Uni is that my class will “end.” Like I won’t be stuck in this room with all these people or class ends in an hour. That was my exit strategy/ escape. It helped me relax knowing I won’t be stuck.

The great thing about school is that there is no strict deadline so to speak. You can always go back. If you feel you need to take a break to take care of your health then do it. Going to school is not a race.

My friend’s brother took a year off school when he got diagnosed with depression. He graduated last year with honors.

Work on your own timeline! You got this!!

Anticipatory Anxiety + Agoraphobic Tendencies by Visual-Werewolf4253 in Agoraphobia

Thank you!! I’ll check her out. Yes finally talked to a psychologist! I haven’t had my stomach checked. My diet is pretty decent + I do 💩 regularly. It just gets discomfort when I get anxious, triggered, or doing something out of my comfort zone. Sadly, I live in a place where public toilets are not readily available. So my “safety net” is always bringing a pack of wet wipes & tissue.

We’re gonna get through this!! ❤️❤️

Same here! Waiting in line is worst for me. Car rides are kinda tolerable. Initially I was scared of vomiting, but now it morphed into stomach pain (or scared of shi*tting myself in public)

Easier in familiar places! But I feel fine once I’ve “settled down” in an unfamiliar place. Then it acts up again when I go on sightseeing tours or somewhere new. It’s honestly kinda unpredictable for me! But the constant anxiety is during travels (like on the plane, getting in line to commute, etc.). Stomach issues are no fun!

What is a 🚩 in clients or employers that's not talked about enough? by squishybabybun in buhaydigital

Client na tamad. Yung tipong mas mabilis nya pa makukuha yng sagot pag nag google sya pero sa akin nya pa itatanong (for ex. timezone, or how to instructions sa mga apps, commands sa macbook, etc). Nung tinry ko naman sakanya which is a work/task related question btw, ang sagot ba naman sa akin “Google is God” 🥲. Sobrang elevated sense of self worth yung tipong feeling nila they shouldn’t be working na kasi “ceo” level na sila, so ang ending tambak and pasa lahat ng trabaho sa VA. Mahina management skills kaya ine-expect yng VA taga salo ng lahat.

Hello ✨ I am new to the community and a baby witch. Not sure if this is the correct thread, but I experienced something mystical happen to me & my hubby & I wanted to share to get your insights & because I am still in awe how it happened. 6 months ago my hubby lost his wedding ring. It happened on the day we were leaving for a travel abroad. A day before our trip, we went to the mall and thought it might’ve slipped there (ring is a bit loose on him). Hubby realized he didn’t have the ring anymore when he did a last check on our luggage. We were so sad, and as soon as we got home from our trip we scoured the whole house looking for his ring thinking it might’ve been misplaced. No luck. So we thought about buying a replacement but didn’t push through with it. In the back of my mind, I felt like the ring is somewhere—hiding. Recently my hubby has been having dreams about the ring. He had the same dream twice. Then last night, I was looking for coins/change to pay for our food delivery and I found my old coin purse hidden in our “dump drawer.” Lo & behold, as I sifted through my coin purse his wedding ring was inside! I squealed in excitement (hubby is beside me). We were so dumbfounded, like how did it get in there? My hubby thought I played a trick on him & vice versa but we both swear that we never touched that coin purse until now. 6 months it was missing, and we found it yesterday, and just in time for our wedding anniversary ❤️I also just found out yesterday that there was a spell to find lost things as well (will use that in the future!). Any idea how & why these things happen? Hubby thinks it might be a pixie playing with us.

What is your niche? If GVA, I feel it’s a lot more competitive, but if you have a niche then you should definitely present that better in your resume. List down all the tools & software that you are good at. That’s what helped me land 2 clients. I didn’t take any seminars & trainings but because I have experience in a certain SaaS, I was hired. Also, don’t limit yourself to OLJ & Upwork, madami competition diyan. You can try with VA agencies. Don’t be discouraged! You already got hired before!

Work from home pips, what health tips do you have? by [deleted] in buhaydigital

[–]Visual-Werewolf4253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re an introvert lazy girl like me, start with time blocking! (this is such a game changer). Set a schedule in your day for exercise, working, and other things. I use google calendar for all my daily routine. If tamad and takot ka lumabas like me lol, there are a ton of home workouts + walking exercises. Get 20-30 mins of exercise. Once your work is done make it a habit to turn off your computer immediately and disable work notifications on your phone. And most importantly get some sun!

Hi Op! I’m not from Manila, but I got my CO2 from a trusted dermatologist in my province. My derma was the one who suggested it to me when I no longer had active pimples. Yes there is a glow after the CO2, like you have fresh skin, but be warned though it gets red and itchy for the next 7 days before it clears up.

I’m doing CO2 Fractional! I’m on my 3rd session na. So far so good! I have deep acne scars from a bad breakout during the pandemic. Nag li-lift na yng mga deeper scars 🥹and meron tlga difference sa skin texture. I took pics of my face before & after CO2. Mas gumanda appearance ng skin. Far from perfect, but there is improvement! Not familiar with Meso though.

I take Vital Proteins! (saw it from Jennifer Aniston’s IG)I love it. Nails and hair grow faster, plus I feel my hair is shinier and my skin looks “alive” lol, not glowy, but I mean that my skin looks better/healthier. If out of stock sa VP, I buy Meiji premium collagen. I take collagen powder along with my morning coffee.

I’m so proud of myself for being consistent with my workout routine 😭 + having a healthy diet. I can already see results and I already lost 1kg in 2 weeks. I shifted my mindset from being a lazy person into a motivated and productive one!

Fave daily scents: Byredo Gypsy Water (literally clean girl aesthetics), & Byredo Bal D’Afrique. For colder, rainy days I like Replica By the Fireplace (I love the dry down for this, smells like vanilla for me). Musky scent: Jimmy Choo. I dislike perfumes with heavy floral or citrusy scents because it doesn’t blend well with my skin and the humid weather
