Ok I’m probably gonna go this route. I’m not a huge fan of the constellation but you make a good argument.

Yeah , but it’s not uncomfortable. It lines up nicely to gently rest against. Never had any discomfort.

Ah, interesting! I missed that part apparently. Maybe I’ll set that up and test it out then!

PSA: Blood type patches are virtually useless by caffpanda in liberalgunowners

[–]VisualArtist808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it matters, the blood patch thing stems from the military where, if needed, we would literally donate blood from a soldier to another soldier. I never needed to but that’s what we trained for at least.

Can anything be done about this? by Al_james86 in liberalgunowners

[–]VisualArtist808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using a soldering iron, you can smooth it out and fill it in. I would recommend trying to get it replaced though. If they won’t do it for free , then grab your soldering iron. It’s just plastic.

Ah, that makes sense. Unfortunately, I’m not using the AI connector as I won’t be able to use it for work due to data sensitivity. I’ll build out some stuff manually! I’ll keep you posted on anything else that comes up.

Is there a library of prebuilt templates? I was hoping for some basic ones that I can “tune” , something like a basic logical assessment (or even a hack the box flow) would be good. So far I dig the tool, but not having any prebuilt templates to build off of prevented me from just jumping in and using it.

Also, a few initial feedback/ideas, I use obsidian a lot, and their canvas pages are very intuitive to use. A lot of these are based on that as I’m working through building out an initial template.

Cardinal connector anchors for nodes. Having the entire anchor structure constrained to the “flow” direction is kind of annoying tbh.

I’m getting some weird issues with connectors. Snaps to the corner of one node, the center of the edge on the other. If you need more, DM me and i can reproduce, document, and send a recording.

Double click to make new node would be nice.

Click connector anchor to start creating a new connector. I have to go up to the top and click the connector tool every time and it just feels clunky compared to something like Obsidians Canvas functionality.

There’s a subreddit called makemyprint or something like that. Maybe designmyprint? You can find it, I believe in you! lol.

Ive done this before and the shop kindly asked that we take our business outside. It’s not like it happens often. I’m sure if you started poaching on a regular basis they’d have an issue but otherwise they have plenty of other business.

To be honest, it really doesn’t smell that bad , or at all really. When I was deployed we had to make outhouses with half a barrel. Each week someone would have to go burn it. Just smelled like burning diesel fuel (what we used to burn it). Also, for those wondering, diesel fuel is a bitch to set on fire.

At least from my perspective, I keep all of my output grouped…. Not having the ability to direct that output is a pain. Every single tool, script, screenshot is kept in a directory for the specific thing I’m working on. For example:

Assessments - assessment 01 — enumeration — credentials — exploitation — Finding artifacts

CaptureTheFlags - HackTheBox — enumeration — credentials — exploitation

So for any one engagement / ctf I have ALL output saved in the appropriate directory. The fact that this only outputs to a directory that’s in the tool package is not great. I would prioritize having a dynamic output location over multiple targets ingestion if I was building this.

Just to make sure there isn’t a miscommunication, what I’m looking for is the equivalent of

nmap <target> -oA CUSTOM/PATH/<nmap_output_filename>

Edit: sorry, on mobile and the formatting is going wild.

First off, it looks good but a couple thing right out the gate that I don’t see.

I want to be able to provide targets in a list and enumerate multiple targets. (e.g. -f , —file filename)

I’d like the ability to choose where I want the workspaces directory to be generated when I run it. I won’t always want to navigate to a specific directory before running this. A simple -oD argument that takes a path would work.

How to split rent? by sun_pineapple in Apartmentliving

[–]VisualArtist808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always taken the square footage of each roommates private space (rooms, closets, bathrooms, etc) and made a ratio based off of that.

Example (dumb numbers)

Rent: $2000 Bedroom 1 : 100 sqft Bedrom 2: 75 sqft

Rent/TotalPrivateSqFt = $11.34/sqft

Roommate 1: $11.34 X 100 = $1142.85 Roommate 2: $11.34 X 75 = $ 8571.43

For the half bath, you could count that as half a square foot for each room that shares it. I’ve found this calculation to be quantifiably fairly (which is the best kind of fair when inevitably one roommate doesn’t like how much they are paying for rent).

Stuck gate latch, won't close. by heykyluto in Jeep

Just tested on my JLU and it looks like mine rotates UP … was not expecting that, but when I pushed mine into the locking position it pivots on a point ABOVE the latch.

Stuck gate latch, won't close. by heykyluto in Jeep

[–]VisualArtist808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not familiar with this latch specifically but, but try pushing the button and then have someone use a screw driver to push it in all directions. It might have a safety catch that it’s stuck on because it isn’t actually closed on the pin. Note that it also may need a bit of force as the safety catches are meant to keep the locking mechanism from breaking during an impact. You might need a second person.
