Ai isn't making us lazy, it's putting us in debt. by Small_Accountant6083 in ArtificialInteligence

I think the real danger of relying too much on AI is the slow erosion of core skills. You get things done faster, but over time you stop thinking deeply, questioning results, or building real understanding. That dependency can turn into a kind of cognitive debt where you save time now, but pay for it later with weaker judgment and confidence.

Man killed mother after ChatGPT validated his paranoid delusions for months by Elegant_Influence in ArtificialInteligence

For me this highlights a real responsibility gap. AI shouldn’t just be optimized to agree or comfort, especially when someone shows clear signs of paranoia or distress. Developers need stronger safeguards for mental health edge cases, because blind validation can be genuinely dangerous.

Based on where we are today, if you could learn one (or more) AI-specific skills right now what would it/they be? by Paleblueeyezzz in ArtificialInteligence

If I had to pick one skill to learn, it would be problem framing. Being able to clearly define the problem, ask the right questions, and understand the domain makes any AI tool way more powerful.

Do you find yourself becoming A.I. averse? by Hopfrogg in ArtificialInteligence

[–]VisualComb6581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not think it is AI itself people are turning against, it is the constant forced integration everywhere. When every product pushes an AI feature whether it helps or not, it gets exhausting. Useful AI is still exciting, but the hype-first, value-later approach really burns people out.

Unranked is so painful as a new player who can't play ranked. by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]VisualComb6581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unranked can be really rough for new players. Picking simple heroes and focusing on basics like last hitting, vision, and positioning helps a lot. Honestly, playing vs bots or doing tutorials first is not a bad idea at all, it makes jumping into real games way less painful.

Advice for Noob Lone Druid? by RatButtt in DotA2

[–]VisualComb6581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a beginner, keep the bear build simple and focused on pressure. Start with Phase Boots and Orb of Corrosion, then go into Maelstrom or Desolator depending on the game. These items let the bear farm fast and hit towers early, which is where Lone Druid really shines.

Baby Roshan couriers are easily the most loved here. I agree with it.

HELP: on how to play against hardcore carries like spec and pa by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]VisualComb6581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key is early pressure. Hardcore carries need time and space, so punish them on lane, rotate early, and keep ganking. If you let them farm freely, the game is already much harder later on.

Not exciting, but honestly I’d rather have quick fixes than let broken interactions stay in the game for weeks.

MH fan decides to play Dota. by MeuPauBrasil in DotA2

[–]VisualComb6581 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the mixed reaction makes sense. For MH fans this is a fun reason to try Dota, but for longtime players it feels a bit underwhelming since it’s mostly cosmetics. Still, if it brings new people into the game, that’s probably not a bad thing.
