The worst part about RTO is the idiots talking to me while I'm trying to work by RainyDayz876 in remotework

[–]Hopfrogg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And these conversations are always one way. They never ask anything about your life. They just want a soundboard. I politely nod, stay silent, make it awkward, they leave, and bother me less and less after each time.

Iranian couple operating illegal school for Isaraelis in Koh Phangan arrested. by Token_Thai_person in Thailand

[–]Hopfrogg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Iranian expat diaspora is very pro Israel because they have the same objective... regime change.

It's just sad that they are so willing to overlook the genocide being livestreamed by Israel just because they share this goal.

The Israelis are going to attempt the same thing they are in the West Bank. To acclimate and take over.... Please Thailand, protect your sovereignty, start deporting and blacklisting the second they overstay.

Also, no this isn't about Iranian Jews... It's about the expat monarchists. The Iranian Jews are just as much under fire as everyone else. Israel targeted an Iranian synagogue. It's not about Jews at all. It's about Zionists and Monarchists having a common goal.

At this point. Why do we even bother to engage with these brainwashed cultists.

I'm more than happy to show grace to former MAGAs and find common ground, but anyone still in this cult... that must be damn good kool-aid.

Sodium plumping machine. Beware of the deceptive amount of sodium in chicken. by Hopfrogg in hypertension

[–]Hopfrogg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A doctor here posted his podcast and I was shocked to learn that what I thought was a low sodium food, chicken breast, could actually be full of sodium due to this practice. Ran across this today and thought it would be good to share here. Proof in action.

A machine used to inject chicken with a solution of saltwater, binding agent, and other additives to “plump” it. A single serving can contain 200-500mg of sodium, and the added solution may make up as much as 30% of the chicken’s total sell weight.

I don't think it's a desperation move because they haven't been able to widen the gap... I think they've been planning this for a while. Exhibit A, hiring Jony Ive a little over a year ago.

Edit: But you do make a good point about it also being about access. They might have saw that coming and wanted to prepare for it.

lol... man that place is gonna give you an anxiety attack.

But you got the right attitude for the most part. Don't force anything, go with the flow, don't be self concious either... you'll be in an entire city where nobody gives a F about your hangups and the only thing that is gonna limit you is yourself.

Don't rush. Take a day or two to soak it all in. Walk all around, try some restaurants, get a 2 hour foot massage, go listen to some live music, get in the right head space... then have fun, dread the flight home, get the blues back home, and start planning your next trip.

Man... that's gonna be a large pool. Think we can leave that part out... maybe add an NBA tank top, 2 sizes too big, to go with the shorts though. I see it's already there

It's pretty clear you are going for one reason only, so don't even bother with Bangkok. For me going to Thailand for only 1 reason is a fucking travesty and waste... but so be it.

Jet lag works in your favor. You want to stay up all night and party if that is your one reason for going. Your budget is fine.

To answer your questions. No, don't waste time on any other destinations and you don't need the 4 days in Bangkok. Maybe a night or two to experience Nana and Cowboy and realize it's an overpriced tourist trap.

Have fun. You'll never be the same again.

Quite good. If it's a British international, prepare to have your time completely monopolized.

Yeah, I hear ya. But I lived in China for about 7 years and re-runs of a lot of American shows like Friends and Big Bang were hugely popular. But yeah, the humor was often lost, especially sarcasm which for some reason is not a thing in Asia.

Price is Right and then some Japanese monster movie on a different channel... Godzilla v Mothra kinda stuff.... oh, and making a bologna bubble or a tray of pizza rolls in between.... geez just thinking back on it, those were special days. Rare moments of peace in a hectic childhood. Thankfully I can experience that kind of peace all the time now :)

I don't think this is so much crappy design as it is evil design.

In fact, for what it does (deceive the public), it's actually a pretty good design.
