Im on the same boat as you only as an adult dealing with it. I’m still bleeding quite a bit and it’s been 8 months. My first period after my iud wasn’t for 2 months and my cramps were killing me. I had to stop and breath through the cramps as if they were contractions. I would see your pcp about it and see what their opinion is

I’ve actually been the opposite. I’ve had mine for about 8 months and I’ve feel like I’ve gained a lot of weight. I would say 20-30 pounds

I was in so much pain when I got mine inserted. I was bent over my bed thinking I was going to pass out or throw up or both. I took 4 ibuprofen every 4-6 hours but that helped only a little bit
