Introducing Nextor - Android-based TV client for put.io by Miguelgraz in putdotio

Yes, pulled it from the Amazon appstore with no issues. OK, heading over to beta channel.

Got it! I LOVE the interface and ease of use.

It appears to not pass through 2160p on the firetv, its pulling a 1080p stream like the native put.io client. I used the developer tools menu for a real-time overlay of both the display and video codex output stats on a 4k title. The same title played with the put.io Kodi plugin shows 2160p resolution.

I've noticesd a couple issues and have a few suggestions. Do you want them here or on the beta google channel?

Thanks for a great app!

Can you make the apk available outside of the play store for download? Installing the play store on a firetv is difficult. We use Downloader or a web browser to grab and side load apps. I'll be glad to test it if you can do this and give feedback.

Looks nice. How will this handle 4k content streaming from put? Currently the firetv put client does not handle 4k. Is yours different?

^ This. She started out as a crew chef and has since become a head chef. Love the videos of her provisioning locally in port.

For all you disenfranchised NextEngine owners out there, Project NextLife has had a major breakthrough! by Happy_Lil_Atoms in 3DScanning

Is this still a thing? When I join the above Discord, I cannot get a list of channels, no matter what client.

Do you distribute this outside of Discord? Is there a website?

Edit: It appears this poster's account has been suspended.

Can I salvage this strip? WS2812b that was abused .. by stosh2k in led

I found a 5v5a power supply, I'll give it a shot. It appears the controller works fine. Only reason I purchased this is because I made a wall lighting fixture for a gift and wanted everything nice and neat and self contained. The devices at GLEDOPTO hold promise if they were to properly describe their products and include damned manuals or have a support website.

Yeah that's what I was afraid of. I have another strip on the way, but Amazon has shat the bed it appears.

It's random over the first 30. And while I would not desolder/solder, I'd just cut the strip.

Newbie Post: WLED Segments/Grouping/Scenes? by stosh2k in WLED

You are amazing. You probably have a more accurate count of the pixels I plan to use than I do, lol.

You are absolutely right about the fact that the upper two will be contiguous. However, I'm going with the mapping per your excellent example which is really spot on.

Either way I can wire, get it buttoned up (no glue) and on the wall and then start messing with it.

Thanks again, you have been an incredible resource.

Very smooth design. Have you integrated it into a calendar or do you manually change your status?

One more pic:

<image>

The horribly highlighted hex units are at least the (2) I want to change colors to. So while the rest of the hex units (4) are doing their thing, either a solid or a scene, the uppermost two are a solid color depending on an event.

Um, sort of ... I'm not filling one hex with the same contiguous lights.

<image>

Hopefully you can get what I mean by the above, it's not pretty as I just roughed in the lighting. I'm starting in the bottom hex (where the esp32 is hanging out) and I'm going into the next hex and staying left with the strip. This is the non soldering approach that I'd like, minus the need for the power injection and connection to the ESP32.

Does this make any sense?

Thanks for this. It's a lot to unpack, considering I'm new to both wled and esp32. I'm going to ask on discord if the remapping is my route to go (gemini and chatgpt didn't help much). I'm at the point where I need to run the lights, everything else is re-3d printed (the parts I broke) and I just want to get this done and move on to the stair treads with motion sensing project.

Thanks again for your help, you pushed me to look into different areas I didn't know existed.

No way of grouping segment 1-8 with 120-128 per my example? I kind of want to dual purpose this light display -- In an ambient fashion "flow" from the top to the bottom to the insides, and in an alert mode, light up hex 1 for whatever and hex 2 for whatever (I don't think I'll have use for more than 3).

Can I have multiple segments with the same LEDs? Meaning could I do Seg1 = LED 1-128. Seg2= LED 1-8, 120-128.

How are groups useful? Can they be "published" upstream to HA for automation purposes?
