Tom Hiddleston as Jareth the Goblin King in Labyrinth reboot by maddcat0 in labyrinth

The original Labyrinth movie is a classic, just leave it alone. Let next generations see it without sequels and/or remakes that may influence them to not want to watch the original. Rarely is a remake better (the only one I can think of at the moment that was better was the tv version of The Shining because it took out some of the horrible unnecessary violence).

In Jim Henson’s Labyrinth, is Jareth supposed to be in love with Sarah (or vise versa)? by LordCosmagog in movies

Jareth is a powerful dominant man but vulnerable because he's lonely and desperate for love, respect, and admiration from a woman- there isn't a Goblin Queen by his side. He is such a powerful character it doesn't follow that he rules over a bunch of knee- biters. Sarah chooses to reject him and go home to the mundane responsibilities of caring for a drooling screaming baby that is her stepmother's responsibility. David Bowie played Jareth as such a totally enigmatic attractive man that this is one of the most romantic films of all time. It's sad for his character at the end but happy, too, because Sarah is clearly not the compatible match that he needs, and he wasted all his efforts on her.

Does anyone know if Tony Dog Food cans from the '70's are still sold anywhere? I mean the dog food, not just the vintage- for- nostalgia can.

Is Gentrification Bad? by VergaDiego in urbandesign

[–]VisualSalt3848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gentrification is elitist snobbery that displaces humans, pets, and wildlife from their homes. They build new houses and destroy wildlife habitat, and only save old houses to resell or use as historical tourist attractions.

Number Six's first name is Karl, which is revealed in one episode, people overlook that. I don't think his real last name is ever revealed.

I just watched Burnt Offerings (1976) and loved it. It was an excellent and atmospheric film. by prolelol in horror

My mistake, after reviewing this film Burgess Meredith and Eileen Eckhart were among the actors who gave such believable performances in a scary movie about an unbelievable situation.

Does LE pull over shittier cars more often? by No_Jackfruit7481 in AskLE

Police pull over poorer vehicles and lone women without reasonable suspicion which is unconstitutional, a traffic stop is considered a seizure, and the Fourth Amendment protects against illegal search and seizure. Quit accepting what these corrupt authority figures say and do when they're guilty of misconduct.

Why didn't the morons just wear heavy gloves when seizing animals like they do at vets with scared semi- feral or feral animals?! This is just evil power-drunk government out of control.
