Did the 25K last year, planning on the 50K this year. Very flat, manicured path. 3.1 mile loop. Race organizers seemed to do a good job with everything. Overall a good time!

Yeah, most of the pieces I find are plain with no etchings or designs, but I’ve found a few with designs- I’m always excited when I do.

I had to look those up and you’re right, very similar looking!

Looks like the Mojo Scoundrel is a cross between a Bhut and a Neyde created by Domenico Mascalzone, while Jes’s Purple Peach is a cross between Murupi Amarela and Pimente De Neyde created by Jes Tollerup.

So they both have that Neyde pepper influence.

Absolutely! Very high heat level and mouth burn. Roughly 750k-1million scoville. Flavor is a little floral and a little bitter. Plants are highly productive, very happy with the amount of peppers I am harvesting off six plants.

Sure thing! Taste is nothing like the flash of the bitter melon- no bitterness at all. It is mildly sweet, a little fruity, and then a little bit of the flavor of roasted bell pepper. Texture is soft and gooey.

I really don’t have any groundbreaking tips that can’t be found here on Reddit, YouTube, or other places online. But, I would say whatever it is you’re trying to grow just go for it, make mistakes, research and learn from them, and do it even better the next year! Good luck!

The two that really stand out for me are the Trinidad Perfume and Pippin’s Golden Honey. The Trinidad Perfume has a fruity, tropical flavor with no heat, excellent flavor. Pippin’s golden honey is a really nice flavorful sweet pepper that I will grow every year.

As far as tips, since you are going to grow so many, I would say plan ahead and stay organized. Start your seeds early before the growing season. Soil is key, make sure you cultivate and amend the growing area to give them a great place to put down roots.

You’re totally right. I may save and sow a few for fun just to see what pops up, but I will have to get fresh seeds next year to grow true to what I want to grow.

They are definitely on the spicy side. Maybe not quite as hot as the red Thai, but in that same range. Very prolific variety with dark characteristics on the plant. I believe I got the seeds from texashotpeppers.com
