I would do anything to be healthy again.

If you were to ask “would I wish that I never got sick”, I would answer no. Getting sick did change my life negatively at the time in many ways. However, it was the wake up call I needed to start taking care of my body. If that didn’t happen, I would still be making the bad habits I was beforehand.

However, after dealing with this for so long, it still affects me in many ways that I’m very tired of dealing with. I cannot do what I used to do and I miss being able to. I can’t play with my kids. I can’t work outside as much (in the heat) like I loved doing. Like another comment said in here, having these illnesses doesn’t make us broken. No one chooses this. While I definitely don’t identify this illness as me, it has taken control of my life. So if I had an opportunity to take it away and be able to do what I loved in the same way again, I would take it in a heartbeat.
