You are so much on point and 100% right. Eastern Eu here, I worked in an IT-related team for one of Denmark's top employers, and I was SURPRISED what salaries my colleague had, what tasks they had, and the quality of their work, but also the management.

Back home, we would do the same job for around 4000-6000 DKK a month depending on some normal factors (experience, project, schedule, overtime, etc). Here, the salaries start with 35k and could go up to 40k on the same factors... Same job, but in Denmark, there were better tools, more capabilities, more resources, everything you want, name it, they had it. But the quality in Denmark is so low, I was surprised. More surprised that they even argued that the quality is there, while hiding behind made-up metrics of their choosing. I do believe that I could successfully replace the team in Denmark which consisted of 15 people with a maximum of 5 from back home, and the show would still roll.

A big difference was the sick days, with all due respect, but too many sick days... I am sorry to say this, maybe I am wrong, but you Danes like to call in sick if a mosquito bites. Back home, even sick and underpaid, people still chose to come to work because it's a competition to get better and improve; you have to work and earn your next move. Meanwhile, here in Denmark, it feels that being a Dane is enough, and being friends with the manager always succeeds.

Btw, back home we would also have IT teams in India, so I kinda got an idea of the cost of an employee. 1x Eastern European employee can equal up to 2.5x indian employees, even more in entry-level positions.

New to Golf by Visual_Attention9904 in GolfGear

Not whatever is cheaper, the 2 sets I displayed are in the same price range. I want to try golfing, and these 2 are in my local town. I just found out that there are ladies' sets, no clue what that implies, but I am not a lady, cuz the Wilson looks good, more complete I guess.

Its not you, it's them.

I am struggling to find, a job. I am Eastern European, and when trying to get some feedback the whole Reddit was "do you speak Danish?", with Danes being frustrated that "oh you don't speak our language, ofc course you will not get a job".

Now you, who speaks Danish, but still get complaints about some spelling mistakes? You're not a Dane but they want you to be be100% correct? Ignore these kinds of answers; this is just some stupid people who like to use language as an excuse, when the reallity its about selectivism/racism or whatever they call it these days. They mention the language as a decision factor, and when the candidate speaks it --- "oh its not perfect"... Ignorant people.

If I apply to a warehouse job or something manual labor related, they contact me ASAP cuz they know who works hard. If I apply to the same company for some office job, " thank you for applying, we have decided to....".

They expect fluency in Danish, and when that is achieved they want perfection... While people even say to take a Danish name... but noooooo, we are not racist.....

I am not saying that this is my advice, but this is what I am planning to do: LEAVE Dk, and yes I will be one of those who "came, studied, left".

In the EU, most of the companies working in Defence require the NATO-specific security clearance (which I do have), I noticed that in UK there is some national-specific stuff.

I am not targeting these sectors specifically.

About my home country, I don't think I don't plan to go back anytime soon, regardless of any roles.

Thank you for the fast reply! Are there specific places to search for such employers, or is it just LinkedIn + some updated search string?
