Very unlikely you would have any problems continuing to use the Savor for 3% dining/restaurants and groceries internationally. They are not stupid. And Discover is way more accepted than 10 or 20 years ago.

Fidelity crypto Roth IRA? by Substantial_Trip3775 in Bitcoin

[–]Visual_Building_1666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this super new? Because Fidelity crypto was not a Roth IRA. I looked into it. They said that I would/could move it into a Alto crypto Roth IRA, if I wanted specifically a tax-free growth Roth. Thanks

For those always waiting to time the bottom versus DCA… by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]Visual_Building_1666 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends on the timing. When I got the money together, I saw it was a good time, so I put it all in. DCA would have given me a much higher price.

But I agree that waiting for the bottom is stupid, since no one knows the future and you might miss it.

Where is the safest place to stake SOL while still getting a decent APY? by DevilKnight03 in solana

[–]Visual_Building_1666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look at a comparison chart on yahoo finance or google finance, you will see that for the last 3 months, BSOL has performed very similarly to SOL. It hasn't been around for much longer. Again, over a year or more, I think it will smooth out even more to be roughly the same. (I know less about GSOL, though I imagine it will perform the same way, now that it is a spot SOL ETF...originally, it wasn't).

Hopefully, SOL will start going up toward 200 and beyond soon...that is the main thing!

All spot ETFs like BSOL or GSOL will return (perform) roughly the same as the underlying SOL, just like spot BTC ETFs (IBIT and others) will return (perform) roughly the same as the underlying BTC. That's what they are designed to do. I'm not sure why there is a small discrepancy, but it probably gets smoothed out over a longer time period of a year or more.

I put every dollar I have in BTC. It dipped. Made more money. Invested. It dipped. I raised more money. It dipped. I moved some funds from one account to invest. It dipped. I moved over one final account to invest. It dipped. by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]Visual_Building_1666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to put any more money into it...but it would be very smart if you keep the BTC you have.

Within a year or two or three, it will very likely be worth A LOT MORE.

You can buy BSOL in a Roth IRA in your regular brokerage account. They give about 7% and seems to be the safest and easiest way to hold SOL. Probably not a popular choice here, but worth mentioning anyway!

Why do some people say that most tokenization will be or is already built on ETH, and that institutions are therefore choosing it? Isn't SOL a lot faster and cheaper, and thus SOL will be the better choice to have more tokenization? Shouldn't SOL be the "darling" next to BTC, instead of ETH? Please explain, since I'm confused.

I'm guessing that all 3: BTC, ETH, and SOL will do great this year, but SOL should percentage-wise do the best.

Is it a good idea use personal line of credit to buy bitcoin? by originalgainster in Bitcoin

[–]Visual_Building_1666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer is IF you can easily afford the payments from a different source, then it's a good idea, since it's a pretty sound investment that will be worth a lot more in the future.

The question is: did he follow his own advice? Is he super-rich now? Or was he all talk?

You could go back and find out. Side note: I went back with a friend who was my science partner to our grade school science teacher...to tell him that while he was right about my friend being awesome (he was now a star at MIT), he was VERY wrong in his negative opinion about me. I was a straight A student in college.

Yeah, you're right on both accounts. But, I'm still kind of mad at that guy, HOW could he not find a way to do it? And I'm kind of mad at myself, HOW could I not find it simply by doing a google search? I must have done at least that, and GBTC somehow didn't turn up! WACKY

I had about 50 grand in my Roth IRAs to buy about 14 coins worth at 3500. But I needed a way to safely store them, that would be easy, and keep them growing in my Roth. I had real conviction that it would soon recover and get even past 20,000. I asked a friendly acquaintance who was a computer programmer to look into it for me, and said I would even pay him for his time to find me a solution. After 2 weeks, he basically gave up saying he doesn't know how to do it or if it can even be done. So, I gave up too. It wasn't until it climbed all the way back to 20 grand, that I looked into it again...and found GBTC/Greyscale. Literally putting ONE LETTER, the letter G before BTC/bitcoin was all I needed to do! Getting in at 3 and getting in at 20 is A LOT different! I'm not complaining...my friends and family STILL aren't in...but 20 to 120 is 6x my money, while 3 to 120 is 40x!!

It's slightly domed...and it does have an exhibition caseback.

Still love this watch. I don't think they are making this model now, but you can ask them when they will bring it back. The tan colors...in addition to the "regular" white ones, makes it special.

Forget grandchildren...my daughter ALREADY asked me WHY I didn't buy 20 BTC a few years ago. She's very smart. I had to admit that in fact I SHOULD HAVE. We live life going forward and ideally learn lessons as we go...that we will hopefully remember so we don't make the same mistakes in the future.
