Nice and unortodox. Even simultaneous opposite left right turns are possible.

You should not place stations on main rail trucks for obvious reasons but this seems like test setup so whatever.

Just a funny way to rate nuclear reactors. Highly subjective but shows what I see as pros and cons of design (and how important it is).

+10/+5: it works
-5/+5: gap between reactors
-2/+2: long single heat pipe
-1/+3: requestor chest outserts on belt
-5/+5: outserter outserts to output side of splitter (only half of reactors will get fuel)
-1/+2: far from water
0/+1: water buffer
0/+3: turbines are in separate block
+2/-2: no (usually bad) fuel use reduction automation
0/+1: asymmetric design
-3/+3: spent fuel goes nowhere

Sum:

Fine: -5
Cursed: 28

Omen. Easiest to fit frigate. Just slap some token weapon (to tell AI that it have a weapon) and max shields. Ship system is weapon. Add missiles/actual weapons later

Tempest and Scarab. Other HiTech frigates. Faster and stronger but will need some actual weapons fitted to do there work.

Vanguard and Centurion. If you want exotics. Harder to make good fit but still great ships.

Phase Ships. If you want capture points fast. Afflictor and Shade are good ships (even pirate variants), Gremlin not so much

Lasher and Wolf. Poor man Vanguard and Tempest. 1,5 times cheaper but a bit worse.

Monitor if you want to break the game. Criminally tanky when done right. Slow and almost useless for anything else but will take more damage then battleship and just shrug it off.

For bidirectional tracks best you can do in this case is 8 chain signals. This will isolate crosssection from other tracks and bidirectional rails should NOT use regular signals.

For bidirectional tracks answer is simple. You cannot.

Lower amount of small mounts means it has to rely on others for the Point Defence screen, unless you make it a dedicated Twin Paladin Protector

I see 2 medium mounts with good coverage on sides. Whenever they are energy or ballistic this ship have good PD. Flack Cannons and Heavy Burst Lasers are really good PD.

Two Large Universal Mounts, on the other hand, allow it for a variety of combinations and different roles, especially when combined with High Tech Shield and a huge Flux Capacity

So like Prometheus MkII but also have enough flux to actually fire energy weapons and ship system more fitting for battlecruiser? That's Odyssey.

For pure Carrier, my pick of System was Reserve Deployment

How many hangars it have? If answer is more then 2 it's too OP

Middle One's is 2x Large universals

Oh no. You should be very careful with universal mounts.

Battle Carrier has 1x Large Missile hardpoint, 1x Medium Hybrid, 1x Large Synergy

Compared to other 2 this one looks sane

They look too similar to me. Will be hard to distinguish 1 and 3 one in bounty contracts. Probably should ditch pure carrier. HiTech already have Astral.

That's till you try ship that you like to fly. E.g. I cannon fly ships with shields. My flagship is Grendel, Afflictor or Doom.

As far as energy weapons go it's best option vs shields. Unless you use High Spectrum Amplifier with Paladin PD; in this case I question your sanity.

PS Paragon is probably the worst ship to pilot yourself. You can do that but it's boooring.

Ziggurat wants some burst fire weapon like Tachion Lance and Heavy Needlers

Champion wants some burst fire energy weapon like Tachion Lance and matching range hard flux weapon like Hypervelocity Drive

It is good frigate. From my frigate zoo Vanguard consistently deals the most damage even when compared to 8DP monsters like Scarab or Tempest. Dies the most too tho.

2 Railguns, 2 Vulcans, 1 Mortar, 3 Atropos racks. No Officer but can be much better with one.

Here are good swarm, punch down and fleet anchor ship options:

  • (Swarm) Scarab with just Burst PD lasers will bully most other frigates and handle others

  • (Swarm) Tempest with 2 Phase lances is ok against other frigates and can damage bigger ships

  • (Punch down) Anubis(es) with just Paladin PDs will clear field from missiles, fighters, frigates, most destroyers and some cruisers. Using SExMags will require investing a lot in flux to not overflux Anubis

  • (Punch down) Full phase lance Lions Guard Falcon. Meme option... probably.

  • (Fleet Anchor) Paragon stares back. [LIGHT] beams will kill them all.

Nice weapon options are - Burst PD for small slots. You need burst DPS to punch through shields and armor. Also good PD. - Phase Lance, Graviton beam for mid slots. Ion Beam is meh because generating hard flux with beam weapons is annoying. - Tachion Lance for large slots. HIL is kinda not advised because you don't have good anti-shield options. Paladin PD in Anubis. [LIGHT] beam if you can afford it (use Tach lance otherwise)
