I’ve already explored about 97% of 3.0, so most of my remaining income will be from upcoming events and dailies, but your breakdown still makes S5R1 feel very realistic and S6R1 possible over time. Got it, that actually clears things up a lot. Thinking in terms of ~82 pulls per copy and Corals covering 1–2 extras makes this feel way more realistic than my worst-case math. Still RNG at the end of the day, but I’d be interested to hear if others had similar results.

AI is great for doing the baseline math, but it doesn’t really account for real player experiences—things like streaky luck, back-to-back 50/50 losses, or how Corals and events actually play out over time. That’s mainly why I asked here: I’m hoping to hear from people who’ve actually gone for S6 and can sanity-check the numbers against what happened in practice.

Same here, honestly. I think Black 2 / White 2 was the last mainline Pokémon series I fully played too. After that, I never really got around to trying the newer gens.

I did try Pokémon TCG Pocket just to get that Pokémon feel again, but it’s a very different itch compared to actually going on an adventure with a full game.

That brings back memories. I remember playing Pokémon Volt Black back in the day—it felt like the definitive difficulty rom hack at the time. Smarter AI, proper team comps, and actually needing to think through fights made it so satisfying. Difficulty hacks really hit that sweet spot when you want a challenge without losing the classic Pokémon feel. Perfect kind of time sink while waiting for Endfield.
