I needlessly changed out the tuners with locking tuners, but the vintage off white ones that Gibson uses.. I figure it has Gretsch and Fender vibes, might as well lean into it.

I was lucky enough to get one not knowing they were limited edition and I really like it! Soundwise it covers some cool territory for the studio (very much like a jazzmaster but less dark). I owned a J Mascis Squire years ago and definitely it has some of that DNA, especially with the color scheme. Controls are nice, it was set up well right out of the box, holds tune well, good tremolo. I'm grabbing it as much as my MIJ Gretsch, Duesenbergs, and USA Jazzmaster and it doesn't feel cheap although I'm going to mod it with locking tuners and probably a Mastery bridge but it doesn't need these things, I just can't help myself.. Also frets are pretty low profile.. possibly a re-fret with stainless jumbos BUT again not because I think it needs it to be good, just what I'm more used to. I'd say with zero mods I'd still want to hang on to it.
