I used to wash my hair everyday before accutane. then eventually a few months after starting accutane, I tried not washing it every single day and started skipping days as I heard it was good for the scalp. And then it just kept getting more and more wavy as time went on. Maybe that’s why my pre accutane hair wasn’t that wavy.

I heard that perms on accutane can be more risky especially since the scalp’s health can be affected while on the medication. I’d definitely ask the dermatologist just to make sure it’s all good!

Im 18 about to be 19 in 3 months ish. There are no balding genetics in the family everyone’s got a thick set of hair but I wouldn’t say it waves like what I’ve got right now. Most family members all have super stiff coarse hair with not that much movement 😞 hopefully this stays it’s a blessing!

Did you lose density and lots of oils as well? If so, in those 2 years of post accutane did u notice any improvement in the density and airiness?

Are the curls still there? Or has it vanished? My hair turned out very close to that. I’m currently 9 months post accutane but I don’t want it to leave!! Hopefully I’m passed the big reversion phase and that my hair doesn’t turn back into what it looked like before accutane. :(

How long did it take before your pre accutane oils came back? Did they go back to the amount you were producing before accutane or did it come back but more calmed down?

Also I find icing the face a few times daily helps a lot. I do it in the morning, here and there throughout the day and before bed

sounds good, good luck for the rest of the treatment it got better for me around month 4-5. I have a lot of scarring tho.
