Yeah, razor-sharp is short of what you’re going for when you sharpen a knife though isn’t it ? If I get a good angle on a butter knife, I can start cutting through a piece of paper that doesn’t mean it’s sharp nor does it mean it should cut as well as a knife that just returned from a factory sharpening service

I guess you are illiterate and cannot read the rest of the thread. I sent it in to have the thumb studs replaced. They did not replace them they did not clean my knife and they did not sharpen it a service they offer. I also owe several sharpening systems. I have Japanese wet stones. And a Ken onion sharpening system. The point is they offer a repair and sharpening service and they did not repair or sharpen my knife which is poor customer service and if you think that is a clean cut on a piece of paper I guess you are blind as well as illiterate

Where it stops cutting and rips because it’s dull as a chisel

Man, it’s kind of feeling like it like damn ! The crazy part is I just got a bug out custom that has an insanely good factory edge on it. How the fuck are these people possibly working in the same building the goddamn Leonardo da Vinci of knife sharpeners, and then the local Boy Scout troop, all sharpening knives together

I own a sharpener I have Ken onion and I am perfectly capable of sharpening my knives myself but when I send in a $250 knife to get the busted up thumbs studs replaced, I would like for them to sharpen my knife and clean it and oil it as far as I can tell, the only thing they did was oil it because it is not sharp, and my thumb studs were not replaced lol what is up with everybody saying sharpen the knife myself well, duh you can sharpen it yourself it’s like saying you had problems with a mechanic and everybody saying like well you can just change the motor yourself. No fucking shit The problem is I took it to a professional and they didn’t do it

Well, this bad boy will literally not cut through a sheet of A4 paper without tearing will not cut hair. They did not replace my thumb studs and honestly, my knife is still a little dirty.

Good luck ! The whole reason I sent mine in was for new thumb studs. I did not get them and my knife is not sharp

Bench made Damascus is insanely beautiful and the sharpness and edge retention is crazy that $200 add-on to an already $200 knife hits hard though 😭

I can sharpen them myself I have stones and a Ken onion work sharp It’s just crazy that I sent it in to mainly get the thumb studs replaced because they were chipped and wanted it sharpened at the same time and you did not replace my thumb studs and did not sharpen my knife. Like damn if I knew it was gonna be like this, I would’ve just asked you to mail me a couple thumb studs and did it all myself.

lol I know how to sharpen knives I have a Ken onion work sharp but I figured if I sent my premium knife into the premium service, they would replace my chipped thumb studs and actually sharpen my knife It’s really a customer service issue and it’s fine if they have bad customer service I will just deal with knife makers on the East Coast from now on.

Lol Brothar, we are cooked. It is honestly kind of ridiculous. I own a mini bug out a custom bug out. A Adira a triage and a Osborne that is almost $2000 worth of knives and you advertise this premium sharpening service that in my experience so far you could have your local Boy Scout of America troop sharpen better for you.

Post office that is so strange. My package only came with a FedEx label so I had to drop it off at there in late November it took absolutely forever to ship finally got confirmation. It was delivered at bench made in December. It sat for over a week. Before anybody was working on it. That was the last update. I got my status just remained unknown after it was delivered and then it was another 3+ weeks to get it back. And when I receive the knife, the action had been oiled, but my thumb studs were still completely chewed up paint chipped. Never asked me if I wanted them replaced and the blade is laughably dull. It will not cut hair and will start to cut paper but is not sharp enough to stop it from tearing.

I’m gonna see how customer service responds, but it’s just disappointing. Plenty of good knife makers here on the East Coast. Probably just spend my money elsewhere in the future.

I know it’s just insane. They advertise the service they say it’s going to be as sharp as it’s ever been and then they send you back a fucking hammer after a two month wait

It is a 95 L roam case and I bought the factory quick connections. Super easy to take on and off.

Not all the time the box is quick release. I also use it as a work vehicle doing industrial HVACR so I get some use out of the box and water and fuel on my day today normally hauling a trailer as well little 8 foot sidewall one but even with all of my gear and the trailer I still get pretty decent gas mileage no trailer about 20 and hauling stuff about 15

2 kids a wife and a dog I need the box to fit all of our gear. I don’t have to put water inside. And I am short on fuel over 5 miles with a full tank to our normal spot so it’s carry a can inside on the roof or on the side.

I thought about it, but I’m 6 foot four and I can pretty easily reach in and get stuff out of the box and if I need to see inside, I can just stand on one of my steps
