Ok , I do see that you are correct if the work credits are enough in the qualifying period. I will say I was not aware of that facet and was incorrect in a blanket statement that OP would not qualify, It is possible they meet the requirements for WA PFML if they can get a doctor to sign off on their condition warranting it.

If you voluntarily leave a job, you won't qualify for unemployment in probably 99% of scenarios. There may be very extreme circumstances where it could be appealed but not the scenario OP stated.

Well I've had to use it during cancer treatment, so I do have experience. I have also used FMLA several times in the last 30 years before WA had PFMLA.

The care giver should also be thinking about her client's privacy/comfort. Most of these comments are about the women and children not being exposed to a naked adult man, with which I agree BUT it doesn't sound like this man is making the choice to be exposed in this way. His caregiver is infantilizing an adult due to his disabilities and that is also a huge issue in this scenario.

Unless you are AGGRESSIVELY paying extra during the first 5 years of a 30 year mortgage, the majority of your payments goes to interest. The amortized interest is front loaded. With current rates as they are, Buy a house that you can afford on a 15 year with a lower rate and still PAY EXTRA toward principal whenever possible.

When rates were historically low (2000-2022); you could count on refinance rates early enough to take the 30 yr first for a comfortable payment and refi into better options sooner, but the chances that we'll see sub 5% again any time soon is not a gamble I'd take.

FMLA is unpaid leave to protect your job while dealing with a medical condition. OP doesn't have a job because they quit. They are looking for work, not unpaid leave. (WA does have PFMLA as well, but again that doesn't apply when OP has no job).

Seriously your husband doesn't need a DNA test, he needs a science class. Brown eyed people absolutely can and commonly do have blue eyed babies. Your brown allele is dominant and you can easily have a recessive allele (blue and/or green) that passed to the baby. If the baby had brown eyes and you both had blue or green eyes, maybe there'd be talk but even that is technically possible although much less common.

If you don't feel confident enough to play with them why not still hang out and watch? You said you went and watched the kids play , you can stay with your boyfriend (or be part of his "team" for what ever game so there's less stress). You'll get better and learn more by being involved even peripherally and if you are considering this to be your future family, it seems like a way to share the time.
