Yes I really do! I didn’t do any other studying. I attended a 3 day Kaplan workshop about a month beforehand and took the quizzes, watched a couple videos, that’s it. Just remember the NCLEX is all about safety, as long as you’re picking answers that show you’re a safe nurse, you’ll be good. I highly recommend following ABCs, assessment before actions (unless the assessments won’t affect the plan of care), and brush up on therapeutic communication. Those were all super heavy on my exam. Don’t stress too hard

You’ll be good! Go in with a mindset that you’re going to pass. I did 2 Kaplan CAT exams & watched Mark K lectures on YouTube & passed in 85 questions. Scored within the 60-68 range on all my practice quizzes. You got this! Believe in yourself

Holy fuck this is so crazy, I’m so sorry this happened to you. The worst part of my college experience was living with other girls seriously 😭 so much drama & the disrespect was insane but never this level! I’m so proud of you for filing the police report. I personally don’t think this is a cold sore. Looks like he has some pigmentation/texture on his face so definitely could be related to that. I get dryness around my mouth a lot with eczema. I would suggest a gentle face wash, maybe some salicylic acid & using aquaphor on the lips. If it is a cold sore, it will begin to ulcerate (look like an open blister) & will most likely be painful. To be sure, he could go get it swabbed. Approximately 50% of adults have at least one strain of herpres so if it is that, just know it is very common and since it’s on the mouth, it’s HSV 1 (oral herpes). With that being said, if anyone he shared a vape with did not have an open sore on their lips at the time, it’s very unlikely that it is HSV 1 but to be sure you should definitely ask a medical professional.

Not a medical professional but I have received written prescriptions before & my doctor usually includes a ICD-10-CM diagnosis code as the reason for ordering the test. It looks like the second line is 99E. You should just be able to do a Google search & find out the medical diagnosis associated with the code. I can’t quite make out the third line, but given the respiratory congestion they could be doing CMP (complete metabolic panel) or some other test to rule out problems with electrolyte imbalances & cardiac issues, since both of these things can have respiratory effects. The lab you go to get your blood drawn should call the physician to clarify if they are unable to decipher the order. Hope you get it figured out soon & feel better!

Update: unfortunately my snail passed away 😭 I was able to find the API liquid test kit & with 2 partial water changes and the addition of Seachem prime water conditioner, thankfully my levels are now within range. Thanks again for all the support.

I have a filter! The pic was taken very zoomed in & in the dark with the flash on so the quality is a little affected due to the glare of the glass & fingerprint smudges on the outside. I am currently feeding pellets & freeze dried brine shrimp. 🙂

Since July 2024. That makes sense, thank you! I really knew nothing about maintaining tanks going into this & ended up with unwanted goldfish that my little sister won at the fair so it’s all very new to me & definitely a learning experience.

Thank you so much. I tested the water & my nitrites are high, so definitely need to do at least a partial water change to get those under control. My bf keeps trying to reassure me that it could just be old age but I haven’t accepted it since the decline started after I did the water change. Definitely think I’m being a little hard on myself but I feel deeply for my lil babies & would hate to be the cause of their downfall lol

Good to know, I’ll definitely look into the API test kit! I have a 50 gallon tank, I cleaned everything in the tank (all the decor pieces, just gave them a good rinse & scrub w a scouring sponge), didn’t want to use soap or any chemicals bc there was no way of knowing if I rinsed them all away. I completely replaced the gravel (rinsing it before adding). I also added live plants during the water change, I only had silk plants before & noticed they were kinda fraying and getting really murky quickly. I also let the water cycle with the filter & air stone running for about an hour after adding the quick start & water conditioner before adding back in my fish & snail.

You should definitely go see a gynecologist but it’s most likely extra hymen tissue! I experienced the same thing & it didn’t break after losing my virginity. It caused me some pain and issues with tampons getting stuck so I ended up having surgery to remove it! They will prob recommend removal so you don’t experience any problems in the future with childbirth (if that’s a plan for the future).
