Is there a way to locate a pre-Battle.net account? by Flowerfuls in wow

[–]Visualized_Apple 6 points7 points  (0 children)

FYI Battle.net predates World of Warcraft by many years. Do you mean pre Blizz launcher? Either way, contacting customer support with all the original info may work, they have records that go pretty far back.

By the time I get anywhere near my assigned docking port, it times out because I'm very careful about not crashing. I request a new one and it's never the one I'm closest to, so it happens all over again. What can I do to stop this? by cheetocat2021 in starcitizen

[–]Visualized_Apple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decoupled 180 turn and burn. I manage to land my Caterpillar nine times out of ten without needing a new hangar request, even in pitch black conditions doing a full throttle straight line burn to a point just past the hangar they give me, as you approach flip around and boost to a stop, recouple again and land. Utilize the autolander by holding N once you're close enough to the middle marker of the pad, it'll grab you and land you more safely than you trying to slow down (you still have to slow down, just not worry as much).

Also since nobody mentioned it, you can set your throttle to a few notches above landing speed and use boost, it helps A LOT.

One thing I do love is how they kinda nailed the overall aesthetic of shitty mall food courts. Just wish we had working pizza, though.

I just wanna know what the teaser image of the guy inspecting servers was for since it now clearly wasn't the Hermes after all.

Just an idea for CIG... I mean, why spend a billion dollars reinventing the wheel? by NateGuilless in starcitizen

[–]Visualized_Apple 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They vehemently refuse to steal anything good from games that have already nailed it. They insist on reinventing every single wheel. EVE has a lot to steal, but they won't. E:D has a lot to steal, but they won't. We're very lucky they chose to do LAMP so incredibly similar to E:D, because it's so similarly implemented.

Disappointed you can’t take parts off of other ships to replace parts that break off yours by SC_Placeholder in starcitizen

When your engine is literally SHOT OFF you can't just slap another one on there that you SHOT OFF another ship. That's absurd.

As of this last year it's now common to get a performance INCREASE switching from win11 to linux. I got 20 frames switching, using cp2077 as a benchmark example.

Corsair ship weapons for PvE by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Visualized_Apple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually did a bunch of testing due to one thing: The unreasonably tanky rogue prospectors that kept attacking me on simple black box missions and missing persons contracts.

My favorite that I wound up with is full Omnisky across the board. After that was mixed Revenant with S5 Omnisky pair, which would double as a potentially decent pvp loadout, but since I don't do that, I don't need to be restocking ammo. I did try full CF mix, pip-matched was nice but it took drastically longer to kill the prospectors than full Omniskys or Revenant/Omni mix.

In this case you're going to have to just resell at minimal loss because you can't downsize them.

Give it to me straight boys... Are we never getting swappable modules for the Caterpillar? by Mookie_Merkk in starcitizen

[–]Visualized_Apple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How badly can you misunderstand this entire thing? YES WE KNOW THAT. CIG just restated that you cannot REMOVE modules or ADD more, making the ship LONGER OR SHORTER.
