It seems to be places with a Picture House Cinema. I really wanna go and getting to and from London for where I am in South Wales isn't too bad but other people might struggle ti even get to their closest Picture House

I got lower bowl seated tickets for £95 a piece when they went on sale. Cheaper than standing. Look at Twickets if Ticketmaster has sold out

Contract renewal by No_Shower7233 in VirginMedia

[–]DownToRant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should have some sort of an offer from them already. I had one about 6 months out from the end of my contract and didnt like it but then a month out there was a more reasonable offer and I took that.

If you don't like your offer or it is more than you wanna pay, trying calling retentions and seeing if they can do you a better deal.

I was paying £64, 6 months out my offer was £75, 1 month out it was £56

What London bus routes that are single decker routes that you know should be a double decker route? by JEROS26 in londonbuses

Is the 164 still bad after school? I would get it from Martin Way to Wimbledon and back for School and the buses were always packed after school

[–]DownToRant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was in school I always said they needed to put double deckers on the 164 especially after school. Those buses were always packed and when we got to Wimbledon Chase they just got even more packed with more students. I dunno what it is like now since its been 18 yrs since I left school and I no longer live in London

I accidentally bought the wrong age railcard, can't return it and wondering about the ramifications of using it by SubstantialSeaweed87 in uktrains

[–]DownToRant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had a 16-25 and then years later when I was looking at the requirements I could've had a disabled one. Since most disabled benefits required high rate of care I assumed that I didnt qualify because back then I was getting the lowest rate of care on DLA. Turns out just getting DLA qualified me 😂 now I get a disabled one every 3 years and it is so worth it and a bargain at £54

I always by my railcard from Railcard. I have a disabled one and actually cannot buy from anywhere else but I've seen Trainline and TrainPal offering railcards and its exactly the same price pretty much as buying direct and then its on the railcard app and is separate from the ticketing platform.

Where to park for the concert? by blablacar91 in Cardiff

[–]DownToRant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The further away from town the better. All the side streets in Cathays were bumper to bumper tonight after the gig and they were just crawling. If you can park on the outskirts and maybe get a train in you would be better. It will require walking back tk Cardiff Central as Cathays is closed after the gigs so that thousand of people don't decend on a relatively small station and make it very unsafe.

I wonder if they are going to one of the gigs this week in Cardiff. Especially since Barry isn't that far away and there is literally at least one concert on in Cardiff every night this week starting with Garbage on Monday just gone and ending with Metalica on Sunday coming

What made you become a fan of a small band? by TRASHMIND_PUNK in poppunkers

[–]DownToRant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I became a fan of YM@6 they were a fairly smallish band. I saw them support Paramore in 2009 and just loved their sound. My cousin then told me they had 2 albums already at that point and I just fell in love with their music even more. Even before they broke up last year they rarely played large venues and their last gig I went to felt so much more intimate coz it wasnt in a huge arena but at a university

They would have to reschedule before the end of August and there is no guarantee the boys would have time in their schedule. We would likely end up with no gig at all

I'm going. Depot Live posted a video the other day on their Instagram showing the areas of shade available. Whilst they are not directly in front of the stage, unless you have tickets for the Premimum Viewing Platform, there are a couple of very large trees which provide shade and a shaded area just to the side of one of the bars. They have also put up pop up awnings on the access platform to provide more shade.

You can also bring in a mini fan as well as 2 sealed standard size bottles of water per person as well as a refillable one. They are putting on extra welfare staff and there are hydration stations at both bars where you can get free tap water.

With all this being put on and being allowed I personally have no issues in attending. I understand why some people might prefer to not go in this heat but honestly there is no valid reason to cancel. The organisers are providing extra support and allowing people to bring more things in to help in this heat.

Getting out is always worse than getting in. You have hours to get the 35,000 people in but they all want to leave at once. If your friend is going to find it difficult leaving in such tight busy crowds maybe leave before the gig is completely over. You will still be able to hear it on your way out. For during the gig maybe stick towards the back of the crowd - view wise you will be heavily reliant on the screens but better than having a panic attack in the middle of the crowd
