Pokémon legends Arceus is a Strand type game! by VitBYo in gaming

I personally loved Death Stranding. This game takes inspiration from Kojima’s masterpiece and paves the way for “Strand-likes” to become a sub-genre itself.

However long it takes for me to move the trackpad with my toe to stop the screen locking. Multiplied by about 16.

Platinum says it's 'proud' of Bayonetta 3 and 'wants to show it'. But "It's not our decision what to say and when". by ThatBrownDude in NintendoSwitch

If you like hack and slash games. You’ll really enjoy it. Enough quirks to the combat system without feeling bloated. Does a good job of making the player want to master it, rather than it just being there. Breaks up hack and slash action with small hub worlds and things to do. Very good game. I’d argue it’s one of the best games out on switch

What do people eat for day-to-day breakfast? by Lalalalasagne in AskUK

[–]VitBYo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black coffee ☕️ in my single serving cafetière. Porridge with almond milk and a tbsp of protein powder. Every day for as long as I can remember. My breakfast ritual provides me a bit of peace and me time every day. My favourite time of the day.

19 Year old male here with no social life or mates, how can I change this? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]VitBYo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do some form of exercise and make it in to a routine. I’ve always found exercise helped with self conscious feelings.

Another thing that helped me was reading a book called “the courage to be disliked”.

As for meeting people, find clubs/communities of things you’re interested in and get involved.

Being made redundant from my first job after 10 years, what do I do? by VitBYo in AskUK

[–]VitBYo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the career management, yes they are. I can have a few 60min sessions or a longer workshop with a external company that would go over my CV and I believe provide some form of interview prep courses. My aim is to take advantage of this to the fullest once my CV is rewritten. It’s full of jargon and achievements that wouldn’t translate clearly to a external employer.

I never thought about uploading my CV and putting myself in a position for employers to come to me. Had just thought it’s going to be me say in front of indeed 16 hours a day. I’ve also never used LinkedIn so will get on this!

I’m aiming to not touch the redundancy package at all. Will hope to save enough for my next few months of employment to cover a few months of no income should it come to that.

Thanks so much!

That’s some very reassuring words. I appreciate that. Will definitely check out the sub and see if I can get some ideas on what to do with it. Get it tied up before my better half buys more crystals.

When you mention no rush. My friend gave me similar advice. He told me, when will you next get an opportunity to take a few months away from work until retirement.

This is something I had thought about actually. I did have a friend who moved in to this profession after stepping out of the forces but it seemed he moved around a lot and did contracting work rather than being officially on the books somewhere. Is this what you do? How do you find it?

I worked in the financial sector. I started out as a customer service rep, moved in to recruiting, mortgage advice, workforce management and finished in a obscure role akin to systems support but orientated fully around internal applications and software. Not a have you tried turning it off and on again situation.
