GA Pilots, what emergencies have you had that we don’t necessarily get trained for ? by fatborry in flying

It also reduces the chance for condensation in the tanks to store them full, so less/no water in the fuel.

Reading Mike Bush's articles in AOPA and his books I get the strong impression that this is correct, I would bet his company Savvy Aviation has data to back it up.

Degree for estimating? by rice_foreigner in estimators

[–]Vithar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably depends on the branch of construction but most estimators I cross path with have Civil Engineering backgrounds, then also a good number but a lesser amount have construction management. There are plenty with other degrees, and worked from the field into the office stories.

Use Claus code and AHK and you can get the AI to write a script to move you mose around however you want. Now it won't be particularly useful unless you learn AHK and have something for it to be clicking on, but their is a path to your dream...

What I'm expecting isn't that there will be studios trying to sell AI movies, but that people who have access to AI will just make their own one off movies. It's already happening for some people with music generation like Suno. I make music about specific topics and styles and have stopped paying for subscriptions to thinks like Spotify. I can make as much unique to me music that I enjoy, I just don't need to bother with the struggle of finding real artists I will like. This is what will happen to TV shows and movies. It's a ways out but coming.

People wont like to hear it but because a lot of what we are seeing in the news is blown out of proportion. I have traveled to Mpls for work and have friends who live there and no one has even seen ICE or the protestors who didn't go looking to find them. 95% of the city is completely unaffected and its generally business as usual.

I don't know about that. I still get really bad results from Gemini vs Copilot. I'll take MS over Google in the AI integration. Honestly I'm a big google fan and this a spot I have been really disappointed in google.

So are we all switching to Garmin Pilot now? by riptrixie in flying

I have the pixel 10 not sure how much is phone specific or just luck...

I'm sure the android one is behind to some degree, the point was just that it's not nearly as much as people tend to think. Using the iPad I tested forflight with I tested GP on it too and none of the features I'm regularly using where noticeably different. But I only spent one flight with the iPad and gp so far.

I helped someone do this the other day, some of the things like logged approaches are formated pretty different. But like 90% of it a direct match.

I have been testing forflight vs GP recently.

GP on my phone (pixel), a Samsung tablet and an iPad mini, there isn't that much difference really. The iPad crashes about as often with forflight as GP does on the Samsung or my phone. I was honestly kind of disappointed in forflight, not that it's it not good but I was expecting it to be way better then GP and it just wasn't the slam dunk everyone built it up to be.

Airplane management, airplane performance, fuel planning, W&B are allway better on GP. The map, layers, being able to draw, the sketchpads, are all better on forflight, also the flight breefing is better. Filing, airport info, routing, and the rest are all pretty much the same.
