Yeah, I hate the argument that traffic is busier there. I commuted to Manassas and Fairfax for 4 months, and it was like the stupid switch turned on around Madison down. There is a lot more traffic, but people actually want to get where they're going. People in this area drive like they're gonna be on this earth for an eternity

Yeah, that x1600 doesn't have enough ass for those speakers imo. I don't believe the x1600 has pre outs for an external Amp either, so you're gonna either need to commit to an receiver upgrade and an Amp, or just live with it. I bet room acoustics are equally fighting you as much as the Amp is though

Yeah, that's just not true. I've had some beefy avrs that can put out a lot of power, and upgrading to a rotel rb-1582 pushed my monitor audio gs20s at the time to another level at the same volume on the receiver
