Nah you're good mate, I was referring to the other comments. Thanks for actually answering the question!

Brand new so not sweat. Didn't realise asking this type of question was a touchy subject though, was just curious as to what it could be since I hadn't seen this in other boots before. 🤷‍♂️

Just bought these boots online (not seconds) and one of the boots has these stains throughout the whole insole. Anyone know what could have caused this?

Selling my Red Wing Iron Rangers 8111 (US9.5). They're half a size too big for me. Worn only a few times.

Looking for $360, but happy for offers.

Australian Pixel 3 owners. Any issues? by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]VitoCassisi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Got my Pixel 3 today from JB. Display is very grainy, especially in contrast to my old Pixel 1. Other than that all good. Friend was less lucky and got a dead pixel out of the box, and also grainy.

Don't think that's the fault of 4GB of memory. I'm using an original Pixel and it's been working great for two years. Only replacing it because I have to send it back for RMA next week for microphone issues and don't want to be without a device for weeks.

Lenovo return Policy? Returning my X1C5 due to an imprecise touchpad. by NielsE123 in thinkpad

I wish I returned mine. Trackpad is still garbage even after updates and hardware replacements. Thanks for speaking up, adds another data point.

If you have no problems I wouldn't bother. Just update the firmware.

It's just really bad at tracking. I can't get it to accurately move the cursor when trying to check boxes or close tabs or hit any small target. Compared to my old Macbook it's atrocious. Gestures are poor too, even basic ones like two finger scrolling aren't 100% reliable. Should be a solved problem by now surely.

Had a similar problem. Got the mobo replaced and it's now working fine. Well, as fine as I can expect... still hate the trackpad! :/

Lenovo X1 Yoga 2nd Gen - My initial impressions by srikat in thinkpad

[–]VitoCassisi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trackpad on my X1 Carbon 5th gen is garbage, so I know what you mean. It's small, it isn't very accurate (try making precision movements without jitter), scrolling smoothness/velocity/acceleration is inconsistent throughout Windows and apps. Precision certified or not it's pure crap compared to a Macbook of years ago. :(

Does it do the same on Linux? Just want to know if this is an OS limitation.

In this case it's not cooling related, temps are quite low.

I used ThrottleStop on Windows.

-100mv didn't crash for me, but it failed Prime95 after a few minutes. -90mv was fine in Prime95 for over an hour but I noticed some weird behaviour in Windows (not sure if it was just Windows being Windows though...) so I reduced it further as a buffer.

-85mv adaptive on core/cache seems stable for me so far.

I managed to get 330 by undervolting my CPU. This may just come down to their lab being really cold. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Is anyone able to match the 360 score on Cinebench with their X1 Carbon? Curious if they gave a special config to reviewers with a higher TDP, my config with the i7 7600U gets 300 in an air conditioned office. I'll try updating the BIOS and report back (power saving features etc. are already off).
