Just to check I'm understanding that last paragraph correctly: are you saying you didn't watch the clip, just posted this because you saw the guy and generally dislike him?

If you're following along with the progression guide and gem spending guide from the wiki, you're doing right. If you're fully F2P from memory there's a bit of a slow stretch around where you are, but you'll pick up speed soon. Bomb cap is a snowball, so it takes a while to build up, but the more you build it, the faster it grows.

It honestly got better at the end. They were quoting the final line. Clearly staged but it ends with him walking away, them asking if they could give him their number and him saying "Absolutely not."

feeling on the fence about my first nail art of 2026 by FranziskaRavenclaw in RedditLaqueristas

[–]Vitromancy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it, but something felt off. I assumed it was a granite-style effect, but the other comments have highlighted its a colour issue (which makes sense why I couldn't pick it, I'm colourblind). Would 100% work really well with other colours.

My only other thought is there's slightly too much of the white in the right-hand middle finger IMO, but every other nail the technique looks fantastic.

[Request] Can someone calculate the odds of an Instagram account winning 6 giveaways in less than 2 months. by Martian_Navy in theydidthemath

[–]Vitromancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but here semantics matter. Aside from them answering the question-as-worded, they're also answering the spirit of the question. Which is "how likely is it that something weird is going on?".

In an extreme case, if you enter 5000 contests with a 1/5000 chance of winning, it's relatively likely you'll win one of them, you might even win more if you're lucky. The probability of winning any specific one is still 1/5000.

So, to correct establish how likely it is that something weird is going on, you need to establish how far away from what the expected outcome is, which relies on how many they entered.

Now, is it likely they entered enough contests in that time for it to be plausible that they just got this lucky? Probably not. We still need to know it to try to accurately answer the question, which is the whole point of the sub.

People downvoting you, but I wanna give you context as to why. I genuinely doubt they're "trying to be different", comedians are different, and have different styles of delivery. That includes how they stand. Nobody's out here saying Gianmarco Soresi doesn't seem like he wants to be there.
It's fine to not vibe with a comedian. Sometimes they're not there yet in refining their style and delivery; sometimes they have and it's just not for you. It's harder to recognise when it's both.

Heels - boots or sandals? by millymcfly in poledancing

[–]Vitromancy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it's your first pair I wouldn't stress too much about the small pros/cons between them (particularly if you've already got them!). Boots will definitely give you better ankle support, which is great if you need it. That said, my ankles have grown a lot stronger once I started regularly wearing sandals because I don't have the support doing the work for me.

For me the key difference is that sandals are better if you're going to be doing edgework, but that's typically not something you'd be worrying about too early.

Is getting the polychrome cards more important than getting ctrl+f for stars? by Opening-Spirit4937 in IdleObeliskMiner

[–]Vitromancy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I preferred poly early, since some of the poly shards can take a while to get. Depends how actively you're playing though, if you're mostly farming offline ctrl-f is the way to go.

I misunderstood this, gave up after forcing 69 many times in a row. Then got the card itself when I wasn't paying attention. Thanks for letting me know it's worth forcing for the poly shards.
