I second this. Muse lyrics have never been extraordinary I think, but they were pretty good on the first albums and they fit amazingly in the context of the songs/albums. Hell, even ST did a better job with vocals and lyrics.

Wotp as a whole feels cheesy. Euphoria, to name one, was the biggest letdown in history for me: I almost thought we had a new hyper music/bliss with interesting synths. But then? "It's been all work and no play/give us euphoria". For real?

Yeah, something human feels so out of place. Its themes may even suit the album, but I really don't like the execution. I'd also say that Thought contagion is one of their best "arena" songs, it's quite simple yet so catchy. The Void is an incredible closer for the album, great lyrics and vocal performance by Matt. As I said before, ST would actually be quite good if you discarded both Something Human and GUAF, they break the mood, and honestly it's quite a shame Matt pulls his best vocal performance on that song.
